“I'm writing to give thanks to the embassy team who traveled to locals sorting passport and visa issues. Two workers visited Leeds last couple of days ago. They were so friendly to meet the people and explained what the applicants need. The most of visitors already get the information from the website 'Korean Embassy in UK' how to apply passport and visa documentation. They don't have to be extra kind though a lady assisted my enquiry and answered me in a kind manner. Many of visitors that day left happily.”

“I’ve visited the consulate twice as a British citizen, and my children are applying for Cyprus citizenship. On the first visit, a gentleman (I didn’t catch his name) provided all the information we needed, and we left with everything required to prepare our documents. On the second visit, Maria was absolutely amazing—she walked us through everything, helped us draft the documents, and there was no rush or pressure at all. Her support made the process feel clear and doable. I cannot fault the service and highly recommend them. Special thanks to Maria — we look forward to receiving our documents in due course.”

“Weeks of preparation for visa application, let down by my invitation letter, save yourself time, make sure it has address of Nigeria high commission on it. Plus the statement that your host will be fully immigration responsible for the applicant..... Mine didn't took about 2 hours to resolve. Also make sure you get a plastic special delivery envelope and have stamps on it to value of £9.85 (that cost will go up over time) mine had stamps on it but not enough value. They have a long lunch break, so time your arrival before 11am and after 2pm. Apart from that all staff were pleasant enough with me and my dilemmas.”

“Visited the embassy today to renew my passport and apply for new passports for my 2 kids. The staff was super polite, respectful and very helpful in guiding me with the paperwork and documents. It was a young gentleman with glasses. the service was quick and straightforward, I got all 3 new passports within 30-40 mins of waiting, which I was very grateful for as I don’t live in London. I also noticed that even it passed their closing time, they still tried to help people who didn’t have an appointment but had been waiting since the morning. Thank you for your service in supporting Vietnamese citizens abroad. Please keep it up. I’m sorry for all the bad reviews but I think some individuals definitely deserve praise for your good work. My advice to people: make sure you book your appointment and prepare all documents as guided on the website (as simple as that really)”

“Subject: Appreciation for Outstanding Service at Croydon Biometric Centre Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing this letter purely out of appreciation and heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional service I received during my recent visit to the Croydon Biometric Centre on 11th July 2025 around 2 pm. In particular, I would like to commend a staff member named Aton, who assisted me during my appointment. He was not only thoroughly professional and efficient in carrying out his duties, but also incredibly polite, respectful, and kind. His calm and welcoming demeanor made me feel comfortable and at ease, which I truly appreciated. He treated me with genuine care and respect, and his conduct stood out in a very positive way. I would also like to extend my thanks to the lady who took my fingerprints, whose friendly smile and courteous attitude added to the overall warmth of the experience. It's rare to encounter such a thoughtful and kind team in formal settings like these, and I felt it deserved to be acknowledged. Please pass on my sincere thanks and appreciation to Aton and the entire team at the Croydon centre. I truly wish Aton all the very best in his future—may he continue to grow and reach the highest levels of success. People like him make a real difference in public service. Finally, thanks to everyone and I wanted to mention this because I was simply moved by the respectful and human way I was treated, and felt it was important to share my gratitude. Warm regards, Aga Meher Tahereen.”

“In December I applied for a passport renewal for my child. Queues are insane, but the app is great and it was easy to book an appointment in Scotland and get registered on a queue in London. Due to the fact that my son’s passport due to expire next month - we were prioritised for an additional appointment, which had been organised by the embassy. Everything was quick, easy, people were helpful. Thank you!”

“Becket House is an immigration reporting centre in London Bridge. People who have been granted temporary admission or their immigration status require them to report to a local Home Office branch are the service user of Becket House. It is normally quite busy in the morning and you may que up half an hour to an hour before being admitted into the building. You will be queuing up on the street outside the reporting centre so wear appropriate clothing. Upon entering the building you will be required to go through a metal detector and all of your belongings will be scanned. You then line up in a queue again and wait for your turn to be seen by an immigration officer at the window. Home office staff routinely collect paper from those who are queuing up inside just to sign on to lessen the waiting time of service users. Officers call out your name and return the paper when the signing in is complete. The scary thing about this place is that it has a short term holding facility and you could be detained there and moved to an immigration removal centre. The best practice to follow when you go to report there is to carry all the necessary paperwork and a basic mobile phone with all the important phone numbers saved on your sim card. You normally are treated with dignity and respect and in return expected to treat others the same. And remember, do not use mobile phone inside the building.”
