“We live just up the road and thought it was a greasy spoon. How wrong we were. Poached is a postage stamp size gourmet breakfast restaurant. The menu is innovative. The service is warm and friendly. That totally know their coffee (fresh roasted beans on sale here too). A delightful place for breakfast (and probably lunch too. As a bonus they have a live train times board and do takeaways. 5 stars all the way.”

“I’ve found my favourite breakfast spot. Having moved to the area recently I came here for the first time for some breakfast. The menu was great - there were so many amazing and healthy options to choose from. Similarly, they offer delicious smoothie options. My breakfast came out beautifully presented and tasted amazing. Table was clean and we had all the menus and everything that we needed. Food was delicious, very warm and cosy comfort food. Atmosphere was cracking. We were served by the lovely Rachel, who I believe manages the pub. She was attentive, friendly and courteous throughout our visit. Overall, a thoroughly pleasant experience. We’ll be back again!”
