“What a fantastic Italian restaurant. Great service - swift and polite without being over bearing. I had the risotto, wow! Friend had Bolognese Calzone and that was absolutely gorgeous too. For dessert I had the chocolate and pistachio torte was which soft and delicate. Well recommended and will return if ever I'm in the area.”

“We turned up as a party of 4 with 2 young children without a booking at 5pm. The staff could not have been more accommodating despite being quite busy. We were advised the wait was 30 minutes to order but were offered a table and some christmas drawing activities to keep the children occupied. A nice touch. Food was exceptionally good, with both children polishing off all their plates. Steak and ale pie & highland venison duo are highly recommended for adults! Very warm and welcoming pub. Highly recommend & will certainly be calling in again in the future after a visit to Polesden Lacey.”

“We visited for the first time on 18/12/25, the interior was beautiful with a roaring fire, the staff were attentive, friendly and very welcoming. We had the Turkey pie to share, full of meat, with excellent pastry! We had the chocolate yuke log dessert which was phenomenal! We will be going back as it was a lovely experience.”

“A recommended choice if you look for good food, often with a twist to keep it interesting. Highlight for us were the muscles, fish, pumpkin stuffed pasta, the very low alcohol beer and deserts. But I would trust the chef with anything. Everything was cooked on point. The staff was lovely and happy to ensure we were comfortable and looked after. We spend a bit more on drinks however the meal prices were entirely worth the price and reasonable. A real food highlight for the area and definitely the choice for bringing guests. A lovely pub, staff seemed very nice too even though it was hot and they were bringing out lots of food to customers. “One of the best pork belly dishes I've ever had! This was my first visit, and I was very impressed with the service, food quality, staff attentiveness, and overall atmosphere. We went there for Sunday roast, and I can honestly say that I will drive again two hours just to enjoy their food again. The food and drinks prices were also reasonable. I loved how welcoming the place is and the terrace outside. Thank you and I'm sure I will return.”

“There is a shortage of good chefs to the point they get poached ! We visited 3 times in 3 days. Staff amazing. Ample parking, outdoor enclosed space for children, tables with parasols. Inside large, clean. Chef and brewer so can use tesco vouchers for food. Although did not eat..lots of clean plates. Children welcomed and woofits. Check to see if chef having a well deserved day off....a very rare occasion.”

“We are camping this weekend and wanted somewhere to watch the Coronation. The chain pub across the road didn’t appeal so we asked in here. The lady behind the bar was really welcoming and told us they’d be screening the event from 11.00 on Saturday. We returned today and were pleasantly surprised to find Indian food on the menu. We sat in a comfortable area close enough to watch and hear the TV, and enjoyed a lovely meal. The staff were very friendly and the owner came to check that everything was ok. We will definitely return on our next visit to Leatherhead”

“Really enjoyed Sunday lunch. It was my partners Birthday. Food fabulous so much so we took a doggy bag home for evening dinner. It was slightly cold inside wear a coat but we all need to save on excessive heating bill. Are Lady severer was excellent not sure of name Black Lady very pleasant gave her a cash tip as tip not on bill please do the same if you enjoy..Will we go again yes. As it was a private lunch I will add photos of spare food (doggy bag) & cat on loo. Just been again for Sunday roast food as good as ever 30th April”
