Affordable dining in Altrincham

“Visited here today and had a great meal. The Gurkha beer is really nice, I told myself I'd only have one as they're 660ml but I ended up having 2 as they were so good. Ended up having the mixed main as a starter but if I went again I'd just have several portions of the lamb chops, the rest of the meat was very nice (quite spicy for anyone worried about spice) but the lamb chops were amazing. Had the duck masala main and the lamb Gurkha curry, would highly recommend the Gurkha Curry it was fantastic, the duck was nice it's different than most Curries so if you want something more aromatic it's something to try. Bread was nice, poppadoms nice and the chutneys were good too. Between 2 of us spent £77 but had separate sides, rice's and effectively 3 main courses and a couple of beers/soft drinks so I'd say it was good value for the quality and quantity of meat. Give it a try, you won't regret it.”

“Cocktails were 10/10!! It’s hard to make a delicious Pornstar Martini but they so good we went back for seconds!! Lovely atmosphere and our server V was very friendly and made the best cocktails! Cant wait to go back! So good to have a local fab cocktail bar!!”

Once you arrive there , they immediately ask you what you want to eat and drink . Also , they have a large variety of food and drinks to choose from . “We love it at The Hale Pizza Express. We come on a weekly basis knowing we will be warmly greeted by Massimo. The food is always perfect and tweaked to our liking. It’s a nice touch knowing our order and having personal conversation. Couldn’t recommend Massimo and his team of friendly waiters and top notch pizza chefs enough. 6 stars”

“Originally my partner and I called in for a ‘nosey’ as we love mid century/ Scandi design. What a great find…Tons of great stuff, vintage and new a real super stylish mix. Recently after our new sofa failed we remembered a handsome locally made sofa being displayed at Lot 54 and returned to obtain more info. Daisy was brilliant and discussed a myriad of details over a cuppa - loads of fabric samples offered - a very nice service indeed. We also bought a super chic throw which had a great discount so a total win win. Next time we’ll probably will start our furnishing adventures in this spot. Thank you”

“Got recommended Mr Yungs by somebody and considering my usual chinese is closed we decided to give them a go. Wow. Just wow. The food was incredible. The salt & pepper chips were crispy, the food was hot and fresh, and everything tasted really fresh. We are in Wythenshawe and will now be changing our chinese to here without a doubt. 11/10. “This is one of those shops you nip in to buy a couple of things and you come out with a full basket. It is amazing I absolutely loved it, everything for the home and more. It also a cafe which is very nice and the staff are really polite and friendly. The store itself is well lit, clean and it is easy to find everything you are looking for. In fact I found more than I was actually looking for but that is just a bonus. Well worth a visit and I will definitely visit again.”

“I recently won a competition for a free meal at Gonbay. I remember this place from years ago and how good it was. We visited on Saturday night and was pleased to say it hasn’t changed a bit! The staff were outstanding and so welcoming. The speed of the food to the table was exactly how I like it. Enough time between each course and not waiting forever. The food was fantastic. Chicken skewers in satay sauce and honey spare ribs to start, followed by sweet and sour chicken , chicken foo yung, egg fried rice and salt and pepper chips for mains. All had a great taste and flavour and we were well and truly stuffed at the end! Thank you all so much and we will certainly be back very soon!”

“I’ve just had their beyond meat burger and it’s by far the best burger I’ve ever had! Not just vegan/vegetarian but any burger. It was so flavoursome and well presented. The chips were great too! Delivery was quick and I loved that the packaging didn’t include any plastic.”

“I've had my mattress for 3 month. Before I've had it my sleeping efficiency was never above 65% and could never get more than 5 hours of sleep a night. It used to take me over 45-60 minutes in bed to get a sleep. As well as having an interrupted sleeping and used to wake up at least twice every night because of the discomfort I had while having my previous mattress. Now, my sleeping efficiency is above 82% and I wake up very well rested. Moreover, N:rem mattress has helped a lot to reduce my snoring level by having my head very well positioned along with my body.
