“Booked a table for 7 of us at 7pm. As soon as we arrived we were warmly welcomed and shown straight to our table. The service was amazing. Offered drinks and starters straight away. We didn't have to wait long for our food. The starters and mains were fresh, hot and tasted amazing! Everything was perfect. The atmosphere is very cosy and welcoming. Probably a strange thing to mention, but as someone who has had spinal surgery and struggles with comfort, the seats here were sooo comfortable! Staff are friendly and pleasant. Most importantly though, the food here is delicious and I cant wait to come back!!!”

“Called today, 11/6/14 on a whim, had time for a sit down lunch and thought "why not?" The welcome was superb, the service excellent and the food....... AMAZING, definitely a place to go back to, we had the buffet at £6.99 per person, complemaentary prawn crackers, fab choice of starters and main courses, was told the buffet menu changes after 2 days to keep customers coming back, definitely worth a visit if you`re in town, A takeaway box is £3 and there were plenty of people choosing this option too. Highly recommended, will see you soon”

“Very nice and friendly lady behind the counter. Even though I got there 5, 10 minutes before closing they took my orde and she helped me go through the menu and choose what I want. The food is delicious, loved all of it but the hot and sour soup was especially delicious. Great food, great customer service from the nice lady and I also like the look of the establishment. “I use this Chippy anytime I want A Chippy Tea or a Chinese... - Their Chinese food is excellent - always cooked fresh and just what you order... The Chippy side is also freshly cooked - They don't cook 20 portions at a time - so your chips are going to be fresh! (You might have to wait a few minutes...) I have been going here for over 10 years and never had a problem... The Gravy is nice if you want Pudding, Chips and Gravy - (Sometimes a problem with Chinese chippy's!)”

“I had an excellent experience with this Chinese takeout restaurant. The food was freshly prepared, flavorful, and arrived hot and on time. Their menu offers a great variety of dishes, and the portions were generous. The staff was courteous and efficient, making the entire ordering process smooth and pleasant. Personally, my favorite is the young chow fried rice. For anyone that would want to check this place out I highly recommend this dish! 10/10 must try again!”

“Met a friend for dinner after work (no reservations) and we had the early diner set meal. Mixed starters, salt & pepper prawns and sweet & sour chicken for mains with egg fried rice and pineapple fritters with icecream to finish. Everything was delicious! Menu highlights were the chicken and the seaweed starter. I had an espresso with my pudding too and it was the nicest coffee I’ve had in ages.”

I come here quite often, every other week or so, and i always went for the gyro, (pronounced yee-ros for some who are wondering how to say it), almost regularly. However i now tend to order the gigante plaki, (Greek style butterbeans) The flavours are always spot on, with it being both hearty and delicious. Haven’t had one bad experience yet, so far from ordering it. The lady who’s served me almost every time is a pleasure to be around. Her hospitality is impeccable. Fantastic value, too! £6.00 for a gyro, £6.00! You can’t argue with that, can you? Definitely worth coming here to try some proper Greek food, served by a true Greek family who know what they’re doing. Can’t recommend it enough.”

“Absolutely beautiful place! We stayed in the deluxe family room with our 4 month old which was really big with two bedrooms open to each other joined by steps with a king bed and double bed. You can reach the bedroom via the path outside which is good for a pram, or via the stairs through the pub. The owner and all staff are extremely friendly and chatty. We stayed for one night and had breakfast which was a lovely cooked breakfast with a good choice, and they also had cereal and yoghurt options with fresh juices, The bar is welcoming and had a good selection of drinks, also had their lovely little dogs walking round too. It’s very popular and busy, we stayed in October so I can imagine it’s very popular in the summer. The kids playground was good too with the animals in it and two lovely goats. We’d highly recommend this pub either for food or to stay too, and we’d love to return.”
