“Our second visit and again, an absolutely fantastic evening! Superb food, all 3 courses were fantastic just like last time. The house red is brilliant too! The pasta and pizza were great and the ricotta cheesecake was to die for! So so good! Outdoor dinning was lovely in the courtyard. Already looking forward to going back again soon! Highly recommend, gluten free and vegan options available. Perfect for couples and families. It’s an absolute little gem!”

“Fantastic Bar with amazing people running it, and such a friendly crowd inside all round great atmosphere. Superb drink choice, with beers (north/ South my favourite) and cocktails a plenty (Gin Bramble my wifes favourite). They really go all out to look after you and your dogs too. My pug loves going, I have a pint she has some biscuits!”

Aleina in particular was a wonderful host who took really good care of us all. This is the third year in a row we've had birthday parties at the Light, and it never disappoints!”

“Best soup I’ve ever had!! Cosy tucked away hidden gem. I ordered the Tomato soup and Cajun chicken ciabatta. Portion sizes were big & value for money was amazing. The staff are very friendly & kind. Will 100% be coming again. The hot chocolate with marshmallows is soooo good.”

He cooks a Sunday roast that is nothing short of exceptional. And it’s not just the roast—every dish I’ve had here has been fantastic. You can tell there’s real passion behind every plate. I come here regularly, whether it’s for a meal, a drink with friends, or—let’s be honest—sometimes more than one drink! It’s always a great experience. This is the first time I’ve taken the time to write a review, not because I didn’t want to, but because I never felt the need—Long Bar speaks for itself. But I do think it’s important to acknowledge the people who put passion into what they do, and Chef Dave and the whole team here deserve all the recognition. As a proud Bramhall local and a small business owner myself, I believe in supporting our village’s businesses. Places like Long Bar make all the difference in creating a welcoming community. The food is consistently delicious, the staff are incredibly friendly, and both the team and management regularly check in to make sure you’re looked after. Every visit feels like a big family reunion — the atmosphere is always welcoming and full of good energy. Whether we pop in during a walk just for a drink, or bring family and friends who are visiting, it’s always our special go-to place. Everyone we take there ends up loving the experience and the food just as much as we do. The staff always take great care of us, and the manager often stops by our table with something new we have to try. I would highly recommend Puss in Boots to anyone in the Stockport area. The atmosphere truly makes you feel at home, and whoever you take there will leave with positive energy and appreciation for the warm interior and amazing service.”

“I have not been to this pub for fourteen years, but on Saturday 26th I went with work colleagues for a curry for my retirement and ended up in The Wheatsheaf. The Staff were brilliant young and vibrant, it was karaoke and everyone felt at ease the locals were very friendly. It was a good atmosphere and all had a great time.”

We come quite often to have lunch and I normally opt for one of their amazing pies and my other half loves their Lasagna. “Well this was my first experience here, it was recommended by a friend to take my children and experience delicious grilled food. I have the most pickiest of children that you can image but boy did the food here amaze them and have them licking their fingers! The service was second to none, the staff was warm and friendly and really made the kids feel welcome and safe. The starters, right through to the mains were beautifully presented and full of flavour, moist and juicy to the very last bite. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking to sit down with friends and family and enjoy a meal that will leave an impression. Definitely worth the drive up north! I think this will be a firm family staple.”

“Stayed for a night for a conference in Manchester but didn't want the hustle and bustle.of Manchester city centre. We were greeted by a great guy named Ste in reception who was so welcoming and made us laugh. We ate in the bar and had a couple of drinks, nothing was too much for Ste, he even popped into the kitchen to find me some orange slices for my Blue Moon beer! Fantastic service. Would stay again. More hotels need a Ste too!”
