“THIS is the pub to go to if ever you have the chance. And if you've been before, but not since late 2023 - ga again. New, young owners have revitalised the Tavern whilst keeping all the old, well lived traditional features. The food is fantastic, dogs are very welcome. There is even home-made doggy ice-cream, dog snacks and hand-made dog leads for sale. There's a small tuck shop and board games for kids. Lovely walks all around. WINNER OF PUB OF THE YEAR 2025.”

“Taxi Drivers around Manchester have been telling me about this place for so long with rave reviews and I didn’t take their advice until this weekend and I’m on my 5th consecutive day ordering. The Kobedi’s (kebab) are absolutely unreal (Sahara Grill Rochdale restaurant level) so this is my go to order, however I’ve sampled the Chicken and Lamb kebabs too and they’re unreal. All the meat is quality and cooked to perfection in the clay ovens. When I say this is the best takeaway I’ve ever had (to the point of me deleting my JustEat and Domino’s app) you better believe it. “The food is made to order with fresh ingredients, the food is presented nicely and there is more than enough for 2 per course per person, the lady who took our order and served us was really nice and explained the dishes we was looking at and advised us on a few things as well, she took the time to have a chat with us inbetween courses, over all the food was excellent and we had food to take home with us too for later. There was only us in there so we had a good 2 hours to enjoy each course and enjoy our own company, we would definitely recommend to all our family and friends and we will be using this for our takeaway food as well as going back to eat in.”
