“Hosts very welcoming as I arrived late and they organised a taxi for me . Bed was very comfortable clean and tidy room and bathroom. I was in awe at the view from the breakfast room / lounge - amazing views of the Diglea valley - sheep and lambs in fields - hens clucking around the car park . I chose my breakfast which was freshly cooked whilst I admired the views and peace . The hosts were kind and gave lots of information about the history of the area . A definite recommended from me .”

“I've been going to Asheligh now for almost 1 year, having acrylic and BIAB nails. This salon is THE best, we have a good chat, cups of tea and I leave with the most outstanding designs on my nails. The salon is clean, bright, and friendly. I always book through fresh, who have my card details online - which I have had to manually enter, and understand the late cancellation fees, however I book 2 months in advance and love that I can do this. Ashleigh has worked so hard to get the salon to where it is today, and she has a great tram of girls that I know I could go to if I ever could not get in with her If I could give more than 5 stars I would !!”

“I'm a big fan of sports and leisure centres, and I've been to a few in my time. But I have to say that New Hall Village Sports and Leisure Centre is one of the best I've ever been to. It's got everything you could possibly want in a sports and leisure centre, and more. The facilities are top-notch. There is ample parking available. But what really makes it stand out is the staff. They're all really friendly and helpful, and they're always happy to answer any questions you have. They also make a real effort to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, which is something I really appreciate. Overall, I would highly recommend”

“We spent a night at the George recently to visit family in Hayfield. The room was lovely and clean, with a really comfy big bed. All the staff were so friendly and they all seemed to be happy to be there. Breakfast was delicious, and the pub itself has a great atmosphere. “I visited Costa Gatley Sunday afternoon — a clean, well-maintained store with a cosy atmosphere and a good selection of food options. However, what stood out during my visit was an interaction at the till that left me quite surprised, and not in a good way. When I ordered a medium hot drink, the young girl serving me actively discouraged the choice. She suggested I go for a smaller size, saying: “There’s not much difference in size — go for the small and save some pennies.” As someone who has run a business for over a decade, I found this quite concerning. In most places, staff are trained to upsell — encouraging customers to consider larger sizes or additional items, which is standard practice in retail and hospitality. Her approach, while possibly well-intentioned, directly goes against basic principles of sales and revenue generation. Encouraging customers to spend less, especially unprompted, may seem kind, but it’s ultimately damaging to the business. In my view, this isn’t just unprofessional — it’s a risk to the long-term health of the store. Costa may want to consider reviewing training procedures to ensure staff understand the balance between customer service and commercial awareness. Thank you”
