“I have been a regular customer at this coffee bar ever since it opened the lady who runs the business is a wonderful welcoming and kind individual. I have visited many cafes around the area but in my personal opinion this has a more homely atmosphere to it. The food is spot on and I have never had a bad meal”

“We’ve been here twice recently because it’s just so good! The first time I had the Turkish eggs with halloumi and sausage, then the second time I went for the chicken and pancakes, both were amazing. One visit was around 11am on a Saturday and there was about a 15-minute wait, but definitely worth it. The other time we went a bit later and got a table straight away. You can book ahead, but they also keep some tables for walk-ins. Staff are nice and friendly and really good to accommodate allergies too”

“I had the pleasure of trying traditional Fredo espresso here, and it was incredible. Rich, strong, and perfectly brewed with — every sip felt authentic and comforting. The aroma alone was enough to wake me up, and the taste was smooth with just the right touch of bitterness. It’s the kind of coffee you want to take your time with and truly enjoy. Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates quality and tradition in their coffee!”

“Thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas breakfast at branch 14 this morning! The food, the atmosphere, the amount of effort put in by the amazing staff made the experience absolutely awesome for my 2 year-old granddaughter. Father Christmas went all out to make it a fabulous event for all the children who were there and it was a lovely touch when he came out to chat to each child individually especially for the little boy who was initially a little overawed by the meeting! Very special day, and the individual gift boxes are just the icing on the cake, to be honest I can't see how they can do all this for the price. Super good value!! I highly recommend this gorgeous little family run coffee shop!”

“Now we’re talking. La Collina was a treat - they have a short, simple home-made lunch menu. I had gnocchi with Bolognaise sauce. Perfect portion size. Coffee was delicious and forced myself to have a pistachio cannoli alongside it. Matt the chef is a focused on flavour and dishes with a twist - you can taste it. Nice space to work from too. Back soon. BACK AGAIN: La Collina is a hidden gem. The menu is developing from daytime only into an evening offering too. Matt, the creator and chef is passionate about the menu. New menu dropping in mid August. Go there.”

“This place is five ⭐ stars!! Afternoon event for a Holy Communion! Food, atmosphere and staff all amazing. A sense that they all enjoy their work!! Very clean and probably the best breakfast food I’ve had in years! Perfection!! Value for money also was a 5/5!!!! My son who has autism enjoyed his food and ate it so that’s a big compliment!!! We will be back!!!”

“Fantastic food and menu and a really lovely atmosphere, it’s always so welcoming and there is a real sense of community that Jonathan, Diane and the whole team foster. The service is brilliant, but beyond service there is a real effort to make it personal, with genuine warmth. Had an open flatbread today which was delicious, as is the specialty coffee.”

“Best soup I’ve ever had!! Cosy tucked away hidden gem. I ordered the Tomato soup and Cajun chicken ciabatta. Portion sizes were big & value for money was amazing. The staff are very friendly & kind. Will 100% be coming again. The hot chocolate with marshmallows is soooo good.”

“Great spot for always having at least one gluten free beer on tap, usually a couple. I'm a big fan of when they've got locals like Brightside. Generally a good atmosphere whenever I come. Sometimes a lot busier than others, probably event related as it's very close to a number of live venues. That said, I can often find a seat in the second, quieter room pictured below. I would appreciate GF food options, but I understand this is exceptionally difficult considering they do pizzas. The music is almost never particularly loud, which means you can always converse. The only setback would be that some of the beers can be pricey, but this is absolutely to be expected given they are quality craft beers rather than mass products, and I say this is one of the few spots where it's worth it”

“Beautiful building, a real hidden gem! It was lovely and quiet around 9:30am on a Saturday. The queue was starting to build by 10am when I left. The brownie had a nice homemade taste, but it was a little dry. I find this is usually the case in cafes, but this was certainly one of the better ones. You can also choose to have it warmed and served with cream when you order. The mocha frappe was also good, but a frappe is different to an iced mocha, so expect it to be sweet!”

“Went tonight with a party of 6, absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Unbelievable Italian drinks selection. Sat down inside when everyone arrived, the owner made room for my father in-law in his wheel chair. (Which isn't easy everywhere!) Food was amazing, everyone loved it, I had the lasagne which was Unbelievable. Honestly couldn't recommend any more. We can't wait to go back. Unbelievable value as well considering the quality. ***Wheel Chair friendly as-well***”

“I really like this cafe. Great breakfast and though recently increased in price, still excellent value for money. Egg, two sausages/bacon, hash brown, mushrooms, beans, tea/,coffee, toast or fried bread. Well cooked and nicely presented. Service is also quick and the ladies friendly. I have to go to Bury now and again and see the Coffee House as a real treat. Highly recommend.”

Snug by the playground, it's perfect for foodie families, picnic punters, and anyone on the prowl for friendly faces and hearty portions! Tried the sha sha chicken and the momos, both worthy contenders, but it was the cauliflower stir-fry with rice and veggies that stole my heart (and stomach). This humble veggie is transformed into a showstopper so delectable, it might just compel you to write poetry.
