“Our Children (five and eight) are excited about adding to our family and have discussed a hamster.... My husband and I went to Pets at Home Bury to talk to an expert and discuss possible options and in particular what pet would be best for our family. We spoke to a lovely lady on the till who called over her colleague Maddie. Maddie talked us through options, and explained the nature and requirements of Hamsters, also looked to understand more about us as a family, how old the children are, how much activity we do, how much available time we have to properly look after and love a new pet. This was so impressive as clearly she wanted to ensure she advised us enough to help guide our informed decision whilst also having the welfare of the animal at the heart of the decision which is exactly what any ethical and compassionate pet store should do! She was engaging, extremely knowledgeable, clear and just so so lovely to talk to! We actually since talking to Maddie, believe that Guinea Pigs may be a better option for us, particularly because the are nocturnal and our daughter is still young, her bed time would be Hammy's wake up time! We were introduced to the available Guinea Pigs, shown a variety of housing options, Maddie explained the importance of nutrition, play, chew toys and behaviours to watch out for too as the Guineas get older. We are going to reflect in readiness for a joint family decision with Henry and Lils, but for now are just so grateful for the time Maddie spent with us. Finally, the Store Manager Raf was really encouraging about ensuring Maddie was recognised for her efforts - he was keen to encourage this recognition of his team and in my eyes, this is really good leadership! “Amazing school and fantastic teachers. Really made an effort to continue our daughters education during the lockdown. Fantastic facilities including cricket pitch, basketball courts, swimming pool, football pitch’s including astroturf. Could not recommend this school highly enough as it has a wonderful family feel to it that is lacking in other schools. We feel they really care not just about the education but the happiness and well-being of there students too.”

“I remember my anxiety levels with the thought of finding a suitable childcare provider to look after my son, soon as I stepped into Tiddlywinks I just knew this was the one!!!! Management were professional and approachable, allowing me to have a truly wonderful ‘look around’ experience. My son and niece both attend and they are flourishing. All the staff work extremely hard to provide OUTSTANDING childcare, catering to each child’s individual needs. The rooms are inviting, child friendly and always clean and fresh. The company itself, provide so many enjoyable experiences, such as trips and celebrations- the children even had a visit from Minnie and Mickey Mouse on their 30th nursery anniversary. The menu is nutritious and caters to all children’s specific dietary requirements. I would 100% recommend Tiddlywinks- I know quite a few of my friend’s children have joined already. “Very surprised to read some of the poor comments on this excellent service. I have had 2 kids go through this service and I have honestly never seen such consistently high levels of professionalism, compassion and empathy. I understand that when your child is sick, it is easy to get upset, scared and emotional. These are normal reactions, particularly when mental health is concerned. However my experience is of a high quality service delivered by deeply committed professionals. I’d like to mention in particular Mr K Singh, Ms J Lowndes, Dr. Knott, and all the other practitioners that supported both my kids over the years. Thanks to their support, my kids are in much better places than they would’ve been. It is true that NHS waiting times to access CAMHS are extremely long, and I agree that this aspect of the system could and should be better. However, once families are seen, the quality of care provided should not be overshadowed by wider systemic pressures that are beyond the control of frontline staff. Our experience has been one of genuine care, skill and dedication, and I remain very grateful for the support my family received.”

“Odin’s Eye Tattoo Collective is the best tattoo studio in Bury. The studio has such a good vibe about it, all 3 of the guys, Sween, Tony and Louis work really well together as a team, you can definitely feel the love the studio! I ’ve had a couple of tattoos there with Louis. His attention to detail and process is amazing and he takes real pride his work. Would 100% recommend Louis and the team at Odin’s Eye”

“Everything you need & more, affordable, friendly & welcoming to all shapes & sizes. Staff are lovely & very informative & extremely happy to help even if you have a "stupid" question haha. As a plus size woman, I feel so comfortable to work out & to get back to my pre spinal operation weight. Easy enough to book & cancel sessions, equipment great quality majority is Matrix Gym Equipment. Also with the whole Covid-19 stuff they are following all guidelines which makes me feel safe as I work out. Although it's not overly big there's always something to work on while you wait for something else. I can't currently do anything weight related due to my surgery, & I don't feel pressured by staff that I should be doing that, everything is in my own pace & they understand that which makes me actually LOVE going. Even when I have to miss a few days or recently a week between sessions due to my back pain, staff don't make any comments (like ive had in the past at another gym I've been to). I just want to say a huge thank you to all staff at Radcliffe.”
