Their food especially chips (not fries) are massive and crispy and lovely MUCH better than chip shop ones.. imagine chip shop sized but French crisp fried! All food is clean and hot! “I went to Coal and Cotton twice within two weeks, first time with husband and sister in law, was atclynch time, so not too noisy, as it was lunch time. The atmosphere was quite but still lovely so you could talk. Went the second week with a friend for tea in the evening, was alot busier but still not too busy, so it was still a lovely atmosphere. The food is always lovely, I just think the main potions don't have to be so large. The only thing I was gutted was I forgot to use my loyalty card, I just think it would be a good idea if a member of staff could ask if you have a loyalty card.”

“I visit here quite a lot with my partner as the food is always great and he just loves the hot chocolate from there. The staff are always polite and great to talk to while you wait, if they are not busy of course serving other customers. It's a warm friendly environment with places to sit both in and out the establishment. If you're on the move they do indeed do take out. The food and drink are always piping hot so you it's going to be good. Just don't do a me where I've been to impatient and drank/ate it before it cooled down.”

“Went for a breakfast with the grandchildren, was very happy with the food, toast done to perfection, bacon had a chargrilled taste which I loved. The only let down was I like really runny eggs for my toast and beans. But not a dealbraker. The open fire was a bonus along with quite good coffee, being a breakfast coffee, it didn't give you that kick to wake your brain up, more like a brunch coffee.”

“Best burgers around by far!!! I saw all the other reviews online and was a little worried about ordering, despite knowing this place is renowned for amazing burgers. Wow it did not disappoint! We got 2 beef and 1 chicken to share some chips and chicken strips and was all 10/10 Only thing that let it down slightly was the temperature, so next time will definitely collect it as the shop in Salford is under 5 minutes from my home. Thanks so much for amazing burgers! The picture isn’t great but good portion sizes aswell.”
