“Food was bang on everything looked fresh and everything smelled amazing different sections they have a grill Chinese and chip shop went for donner lamb on a tcake with chip shop chips mayo and chilli sauce everything was 10 out of 10 it was because of others reviews that I chose this place”

“Amazing spa hotel that caters so well for families. We come here every christmas and the atmosphere is so warm and festive The whole place is super clean and smells so nice too. we never eat there other than the snacks and coffee. The facilities are amazing and the bedroom is so spacious.”

“I had this place in mind for months before deciding to visit here on a date night. We booked a table easily online (via their website) and the pictures there lived up to the real thing. The deco in this place is amazing to create the right atmosphere for any occasion.... Date night, drinks with friends at the weekend or during the week. The staff were very friendly and the food.... THE FOOD! It was delicious! And reasonably priced too!”

“The best fish ’n’ chips in the area. PERIOD. Anybody saying the Kingfisher on Parrin Lane is better — and the other comments — listen up. Yes, they are super friendly at the Kingfisher. They also close at 8:30, not the 9 p.m. this one does. And you can’t complain that this no longer takes card payments because neither does the Kingfisher, but this at least allows bank transfer — so basically it takes card payments. Also, saying it’s expensive? Last night I got a LARGE FISH & CHIPS with a pot of GRAVY and a pot of MUSHY-PEAS (both of which are far superior to Kingfisher’s) for £11.20. I think that’s very fair. I’m posting the pics here so you can see how amazing they are — and that’s after going to Lidl and walking 10 minutes home. Hot, delicious, and not greasy. 10/10. Give them a try at least once so you KNOW for yourself. :)”

“Me and my girlfriend had a fantastic meal at this restaurant. The staff were excellent, food was lovely, and the restaurant has a very relaxing and cosy vibe. Perfect if you are staying at the hotel, or even if you are just looking for a place to eat in the area. Really pleased with the service all round. Thanks to the staff.”

“Me and my partner were having a look for somewhere to eat and we came across Buffalo bar and grill. Can I just say wow, the staff were lovely, the food was absolutely gorgeous and came out quickly, hot and fresh. The atmosphere was great, with music, wicked decor and a warm feel. The prices very accurately reflected the food quality whilst still being affordable. Very impressed and we will see you again NYE! Michaela and Matt x”

“Incredible the best take out, so fresh and zingy. Makes you feel ok about ordering in! The pork tacos with avocado are insanely good. So are the sandwiches. In fact everything!! Just try it. It even travels well. Although it always arrives early and with a smile. Praise be to Cuba!”

“I went to Coal and Cotton twice within two weeks, first time with husband and sister in law, was atclynch time, so not too noisy, as it was lunch time. The atmosphere was quite but still lovely so you could talk. Went the second week with a friend for tea in the evening, was alot busier but still not too busy, so it was still a lovely atmosphere. The food is always lovely, I just think the main potions don't have to be so large. The only thing I was gutted was I forgot to use my loyalty card, I just think it would be a good idea if a member of staff could ask if you have a loyalty card.”

“Just discovered this pub and so impressed. Great friendly service from Melissa. Food was very tasty and you could tell everything was fresh. Compliments to Astra in the kitchen! Very generous portions too which delighted hubby. We went for lunch and there were tables available without booking. “Absolutley amazing, very last minuite room hire due to being let down by a venue and trevor was really kind to let me have my birthday party on such short notice, couldnt thank him enough and couldnt fault him either, the music was great and he made sure we all had a great night, the bar staff were amazing they were so friendly, i will definitley be reccomending this place to everyone, thank you all for a lovely night it really will be a night ill never forget”

“Met up with my Son for the first time in 46 years here and had the best time, atmosphere was Great food was Excellent and the staff were Very friendly, we Will be calling again soon... Prices are very fair the Only problem we found is that there are No disabled parking space in the car park apart from that it's great...”

“My friend and I visited John Gilbert on 19th December for lunch. Service was very good (by Casey). Both our meals were very tasty and served lovely and hot. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas. A nice relaxing ambience. I would definitely recommend this pub both for food and service.”

“Went for a breakfast with the grandchildren, was very happy with the food, toast done to perfection, bacon had a chargrilled taste which I loved. The only let down was I like really runny eggs for my toast and beans. But not a dealbraker. The open fire was a bonus along with quite good coffee, being a breakfast coffee, it didn't give you that kick to wake your brain up, more like a brunch coffee.”

“Friendly helpful staff. Busy for a Tuesday evening which surprised me, but could be because of the lovely weather. Food lovely and plentiful. Very fast service, didn't have to wait long at all. Such good value. Beer garden been done up since the last time I visited and looks great. Definitely recommend.”
