“Saturday 8th June 2024 Today, I had a good fortune to be in this grand little real ale micropub This pub had some excellent quaint beers on from small breweries. There were good local followers of real ale beers. The staff/owners were really good and knew their real ales. There was also a smashing quiet real ale outdoors drinking area at the rear of the pub. The best real ale pub in Hazel Grove by far”

“Friendly, lively atmosphere. Pleasant layout. Good selection of ales and pleased to see that there was a stout which was excellent. Not much room downstairs but more room upstairs.”

“Fantastic Neapolitan pizza, with creative and delicious sides and small plates. The location is perfect for summer days sat outside at the front with friends. It can book up quickly so make sure to ring for a reservation otherwise you may be struggling to get in.”

“Excellent pizzas! If you want great pizza for very little money and without the hassle of having to hang out with the in crowd Pix Pizza is the place for you. During my visit I noticed it was very family friendly too. I had the wild boar salami and green chilli pizza and my partner enjoyed his n'duja and mozzarella. The pizzas come with a small portion of some kind of mystery mayonnaise that makes the excess pizza crust taste delightful as well. They have some starters and a few desserts and they serve alcohol but one pizza was enough for a filling and delicious meal. Service was prompt and charming. Highly recommended.”

“Best soup I’ve ever had!! Cosy tucked away hidden gem. I ordered the Tomato soup and Cajun chicken ciabatta. Portion sizes were big & value for money was amazing. The staff are very friendly & kind. Will 100% be coming again. The hot chocolate with marshmallows is soooo good.”

“I popped into Sykes for the first time today and had a lovely breakfast with butchers sausages and bacon, perfectly cooked eggs and all the trimmings. The coffee was delish! The welcome was genuine and service friendly, as always from Mancunians. A great place to grab a quality bite to eat, recommended.”

“Double D's provided hot food for my 50th party. The customer service was amazing from my first enquiry. Everything needed was provided by them, plates, napkins etc. The food was outstanding. All my guests went up for seconds. I would highly recommend and would not think twice about using again.”

“Strangely closed looking pub near the train station with a couple of ales on and some good crisps (Inc lancashire sauce!) The beer we had was top quality and this place is well worth a visit for the ales and plane spotting”

“Had the beef and Stilton pie. Best ever!! Beautiful..Lasagne and chorizo fabulous. Obviously home cooked. Great service and so friendly. Highly recommended and food such a high standard. Get yourself there!..Also dog friendly and able to sit outside under a massive awning if prefer to inside. Lovely walks behind pub and 1.5mile walk from Bullyard campsite.”

“I occasionally go to Supreme Grill. The food’s really nice and tasty . I not sure if they cook vegan or vegetarian food. We usually go late in the evening just before it shuts down most of the food has been sold . So it shows how popular it is.”

“We have been to dough guys several times now for both take out and eating in. Every time the pizza has been excellent, we have tried different ones each time and have been impressed with all of them so far! Ingredients are fresh and they are authentic type pizzas. We most recently tried a white base on, they are very rich but as we were sharing it went perfectly with the other one we had. Quick delivery and very fresh, thanks!”

“Walked over from Lyme park, big party with three large dogs in tow. Lovely pub, great service and plenty of room for us all. The food was delicious, several of us got the crispy salt and pepper chicken which was great. So glad we stopped here.”

“Nipped in for a meal being intrigued by the name of a pub as The White Lion with the picture of a zebra on the pub sign. The pub is under refurbishment. The service was perfect. We had 3 roasts and we were struggling to eat all of the food. One small criticism - the food was not hot enough. I made a special request about my drink and it was not a problem for the barman to accommodate it.”

“Had a lovely meal, the chef even offered to make something not in the current menu, after there wasn’t a great deal of choice for a vegan diner. The waitress Katie was very hospitable, and went above and beyond to make the whole experience even better. Atmosphere was great even for a Tuesday evening. Will definitely be returning”

“I visited the Crown this evening for the Santa photo shoot and for dinner afterwards. The food was gorgeous and the management and staff went above and beyond. My daughter loved (The Real) Santa and we can’t wait to receive our photos. Thank you for a lovely evening. Will be returning very soon.”

“Just back from an enjoyable lunch at the Andrew Arms.The steak and ale pie was delicious and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. Sticky toffee pudding with real custard, what a treat. Will be back soon.”

“We ate here on Saturday 11.10.25. A big family group of 11. Age range 14 months -65 . Every one of us had great food, some carvery eaters, others chose from the menu. The staff were amazing (Trish as always), efficient and hugely accommodating. Even though it was quite busy, nothing was too much trouble. I personally recommend the carvery. It is amazing and the chef had added a shepherd's pie as a meat option, together with beef, Turkey, Chinese pork and roast pork. So glad I chose to have some. Delicious! Our go-to eatery, especially when family come to visit. Thank you and very well done all of you.”

“Recently moved (Sept22) now inside Doctor Feelgood. Which is a very trendy bar. (Music is very loud) but good atmosphere... Now let's talk Burgers burgers burgers. Amazing burgers. Great place to go if u want a burger with a different. Maybe chilly in it.. maybe Mac n cheese in it! The special is always good. Chips are great also as you can put great toppings on them! Staff seemed really helpful n welcoming.”

“This is very fresh and young HK style restaurant. The restaurant was decorated with a lot of photos and videos related a famous band Mirror. The dishes were innovative and delicious. The staff were friendly too. Having meal there was cozy.”

“Our ”Tuesday club” went to birdandbeemcr today for the first time. They were 5 of us (usually 7) and we all opted for the bacon bun. Now this was not just any bacon bun - it was filled with crispy streaky bacon, with a cheesy, sumptuous little omelette on top - some of us had it on brioche & some on local sourdough. With pot of freshly brewed tea to go with it, it was delicious. One of us had a latte which was very professionally done too. They’ve only been open for a week but we’ll definitely to back to sample more great food. Sorry I didn’t take a pic but I’d finished it before I remembered!”

“Visited for the first time today for the burger offer. We had sausage roll and taco starters which were lovely and then I got the signature burger which was amazing. Would definitely go again”

“Had the carvery. All the vegetables were lovely, perfectly cooked. Roasties would have been nicer with a fluffier type of potato. Roast beef beautiful. Perfect apple crumble with loads of custard. Lovely waitress and lovely manager from the Hesketh which closed down and is still missed.”

“Wonderful Spanish restaurant in Heaton Moor. A great menu with most of your favourite tapas dishes. The food was really nice and hot when it was served. The staff were lovely. Would recommend.”
