“Flic decided to have a day out in Marple. We started at this lovely Robinson's pub next to Rose Hill station. I am pretty sure I have been here a few times many years ago. Large open plan and plush interior with TV's and an outside terrace, also with a TV. Stairs down to a small beer garden beside a large car park. Three of four handpumps in use on my visit. Went for a seasonal Pale Ale, AMO 4.4%. Really refreshing.”

“Went for Sunday lunch and had a fabulous meal. It’s a set menu and had all 3 courses for £27. The food was well presented, hot and very tasty. You can’t fault it and I would highly recommend a visit here.”

About £13 on average for a plate of food and a drink . Pool table available and you can order from the app. Straight to the table . Really good staff who come over and check all is good and say hello and goodbye as you enter and leave . Nice pub . Nice staff well worth a visit”

“Fabulous Hen Party for my daughter at Rocksalt on Saturday night. The buffet was gorgeous and we were all looked after brilliantly! “Went with my friend to see the fabulous singer that was on called Karen James. Great drink prices friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Large car park and they have different acts and nights on that are really great. Well worth a visit.”

“Have visited this place on a number of occasions. It is a Sam Smith's pub so they only sell their own brewed beers but the prices are very reasonable. Friendly staff and I guess that mainly older patrons (like myself) will enjoy visits to this pub. There is an open fire during the cold weather. A traditional pub that you can access from the main street by descending steps.”

I love the Boars Head I've been frequently the place since I was a teenager and now I live in Ireland I still make a point of going in the place when I return to my home town of Stockport. It's a nice traditional pub with a warm and friendly clientele with beers and spirits at very reasonable prices.”

“This is one of the best pubs in the area. I have been going here on and off since way before it was renovated last time and Julie and her team work hard to make this a fun and welcoming place to go. There is no food but the cost of a pint is reasonable, has live music every weekend, has a small enclosed outdoor area and you are not constantly looking over your shoulder. How often do you hear the words “We have had to shut the front door as we are full” in pubs any more! Keep up the good work Julie.”

“We visited the shady oak tonight, to try the new menu! We were served by the lovely Michelle who gave us our free glass of Prosecco and told us about what to expect for the taster night. We tried and reviewed all these plates; bread, patè and olives - lovely patè but would be happy with less. Really liked the spicier patè and a nice portion of olives. Hallumi fries - I really enjoyed these, big portion but my partner isn’t keen on honey so he wasn’t into them as much as me. Salt and pepper wings - we both really enjoyed these and would come back just for these! Cajun wings - We liked these but not as much as the salt and pepper ones! Padron peppers - Wasn’t keen on these, maybe because we wouldn’t order them. If you want vegetarian choices there is probably better options out there. Salt and pepper squid - Nice flavour but abit chewy, definitely keep them paired with sweet chilli! Flat iron steak - We would definitely come back just for this. It was cooked perfectly to our liking and melting in the mouth. Lovely peppercorn sauce too! Wasn’t too bothered about the fried onions on the side. Shady oak burger sliders - These were so nice and juicy and as someone who prefers chicken burgers I really enjoyed it! Curry of the week - Not a curry we would choose as we prefer creamier currys like Korma, Butter Chicken, Tikka but was tasty, not too spicy and a good amount of chicken! We will definitely be back again soon to try more dishes and re order some of these ones too!”

“Spoilt for choice in Bramhall for eateries, and having never tried the Nook and Broom before, the family and I thought we'd give it a go. The verdict was unanimous. A great choice of family friendly seating areas, all well lit. A number of small unobtrusive TV's for those who go to watch sports. The food. Oh my goodness the food! Great value and all very well prepared and served in good time. My personal favourite was the 1kg chicken wing sharer. So much so my son and I went back a few days later to take advantage of 'wing Wednesday' 40p per wing (the wings are a good size too) in the sauce of your choice. Then, spotting the breakfast menu had to go back next day to sample the £7 Big Breakfast (see pic). A great spread for seven quid and all done to [my] perfection. Finally, the friendly and attentive staff. Cheers Leon and Olivia for topping off the experience with your professional and welcoming nature. Highly recommend this place for all the above reasons. It is sometimes tricky that different branches of whetherspoon varies a lot. Anyway this one is impressive.”

“Visited for dinner, we both wanted the pie and chips, no pies left., We then chose fish and chips and they had to check if they had fish. We were about to leave, but they had two left. The food arrived and we were pleased either the good, fish was excellent, large, chunky fish and good batter. The pub was a bit smelly, tables very sticky. Toilets really clean and tidy. Not too busy on a Monday afternoon. The pub is next to the golf course, with a great view. The pub could be so much nicer and it would increase footfall from golfers too.”
