“First time here and certainly won’t be the last, minced chicken with lettuce wraps and salt & pepper prawn were the most savoury light delectable starters with duck, rice and the star of the show, steamed whole sea bass for main. My oh my best sea bass I have ever eaten, moist, fell off the bone, intensely savoury liquor, no extra thickeners. Just wow. And Sunny. Sunny sunny sunny. You were the highlight of the evening. “Stayed in a nearby cottage and popped in here to watch the Rugby and have food and drinks. The lady behind the bar was fantastic brining us fresh drinks whenever we were running dry. They were on a reduced menu at the time for food but still enough to choose and was all good. Locals in the pub were all very nice too.”

“Well this was my first experience here, it was recommended by a friend to take my children and experience delicious grilled food. I have the most pickiest of children that you can image but boy did the food here amaze them and have them licking their fingers! The service was second to none, the staff was warm and friendly and really made the kids feel welcome and safe. The starters, right through to the mains were beautifully presented and full of flavour, moist and juicy to the very last bite. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking to sit down with friends and family and enjoy a meal that will leave an impression. Definitely worth the drive up north! I think this will be a firm family staple.”

“We absolutely love it here! are regulars at Mottram wood because as a family of 6 we find that it has everything we need for all of us. Great food, friendly staff, a good play area for the kids and an outside area. And then the food is decent pub grub at a very reasonable price. We find it to be the best play area / restaurant around Manchester. We came here for Christmas dinner which was great and so reasonably priced and today my son just had his 6th birthday party at the wacky warehouse. Alex and Jess in the play area are outstanding and can’t do enough for you and the kids adore them too.”
