Friendly space in Oldham

“I purchased a bosch built in microwave oven yesterday which has now replaced my old bosch 10 Yr old one perfectly and matches the oven. I visited the Oldham store with my wife and spoke to a knowledgeable gentleman called Dan who gave us him time and answered any questions we had. He was very helpful and pleasant. Dan said John would phone me back to check stock in the warehouse the following morning which sure enough he did and he said my microwave oven was ready to collect. I went down to the store straight away to collect and another gentleman carried the microwave and put it into my car after I paid. The gentleman who carried it out also had a nice manor about him and the young lady who was in on Sunday with Dan also was pleasant and talkative. I would recommend this company to anyone and as I have been in retail sales all my working life this kind of service is sadly not available everywhere. I will definitely be back for more stuff soon This company is full of nice people. Thanks again. Eric Unsworth.”

“Had a fantastic lunch here just now. Booked online and had to delay an hour which they were fine about. Had fantastic service and the food was great. I had the rump steak and garlic butter sauce. The steak was cooked perfectly medium just how I asked and that sauce was delicious. Thanks very much!”

“Nice, old-fashioned very traditional British pub with a cool back room where bands play. Friendly service and a good atmosphere, the back room is small so perfect for an intimate gig. Good selection of beers on at the bars including Robinson's Trooper which is a personal fave!”

The setting itself is lovely, relaxed, and perfect for a weekend treat. “Popped in to the local Lidl which because of Tesco, asda and Aldi being closer, just never got round to going to Lidl. It's on Broadway next to McDonald's and there's plenty of parking and is easy to get to. Entering the store, there are donuts and croissants displayed on the right with fruits on the left. I found the store very spacious and not busy so managed to wander around freely. The place is very clean and all the staff were friendly and always smiling. Prices are reasonable but not many offers like you would get in Tesco or Asda. The place I would say is close to the design of Aldi. They also have little cute trolleys for the children which I think is a nice touch. Didn't see any bathroom inside but there's McDonald's across the road so can always use bathrooms there if needed. Will make an effort to come here more often.”

“Such a grand place! Just the other day I went in to B&M only just to buy one item and ended up with a trolley loads goodies, The staff are great and helpful!! Oh! Girls watch out I’m coming in this Sunday with the missus!! So trust me we’ll be coming out with a trolley load of assorts of goodies!! They actually do everything!! I Love this place!!”

“Had a lunch out with oir eldely parents this lunchtime, we travelled over from Huddersfield. The service and food was very nice and the my partner highly recommends the Lees bitter. “Great local pub with friendly staff and good prices on beer. Just beware of ordering spirits as they can end up being very expensive for a double. Sunday dinner is really cheap and cheerful at less than 7 quid for a HUGE plate of food that even a fat guy like me can never finish. Saturday night atmosphere is great with karaoke.”
