“Where do I begin. The reception staff are all hand picked, love love love them. It took me all my strength to go as I was petrified. THEN I get this amazing dentist Anbar and colleague Joyce Talented, Clever, beautiful and took 3 teeth out with a blink of my eye. I only I knew about this dentist place I know for sure I would still have my beautiful teeth that I no longer have. No pain either. “Fantastic dental surgery. Been at this dentist my whole life and all of the staff I have encountered have been lovely and competent. I have had lots of check ups and various treatments over the years and they have always provided me with high quality care. They especially have been very understanding and supportive of me as a person with a severe needle phobia and have allowed me to have procedures such as fillings without anaesthetic at my request but equally have supported me very well when I have had to have procedures such as tooth extraction where needles have been essential to the treatment, even prescribing me with diazepam prior to the extraction to ease some of the anxiety. The only issue I have ever had is that I do struggle to contact them via telephone as my calls often ring out or go to voicemail. Otherwise a genuinely fantastic dental surgery, can't rate them high enough!”

“Very happy with my first experience at Ivy today. I'm quite nervous attending the dentist but all of the staff were so kind and welcoming. I was seen by Malcolm and his dental nurse Paul, who were both very efficient and made me feel at ease straight away. “Zohaib Ali I went to see Zo to have a partial denture fitted after losing three loose molars a few years earlier. I had investigated implants during this time, but had reluctantly admitted that I wouldn’t be able to endure the treatment necessary to fit them: I’m squeamish about all medical procedures and have a phobia about needles, so when a sinus lift entered the equation, the possibility of implants went out of the window. But I was struggling to eat- I could only use one side of my jaw to chew and those teeth were taking quite a hammering. When I met Zo, I immediately had confidence in his abilities as a dental surgeon; his confident demeanour and the wide-ranging knowledge he displayed, as well as the empathy he expressed, made me feel that he would make sure I had as positive an experience as possible, regardless of the treatment. However, it became clear that partial dentures would not be an option for me- they would create too much pressure on my remaining teeth. It was going to be implants or nothing and it took quite a few conversations with Zo for me to believe I could go down that road. Several months and an amount of treatment later, I have three new perfectly-fitting back teeth and I can chew away as I always used to. They feel (and look) natural. Zo made the sessions more than bearable- some of them threw up complications, which he dealt with in a calm and expert manner. He is a supremely competent practitioner. And, surprisingly, there was quite an amount of laughter over the months of treatment, something which I never expected, given my aversion to all things medical (especially needles)! I still have to pinch myself that I was ‘brave’ enough to have implants fitted, but the reality is that I found a dental surgeon who could do the job to a supremely high standard whilst reassuring a patient as reluctant and jittery as I am. I would recommend Zo without hesitation. He has made ‘going to the dentist’ a tolerable, if not an almost-enjoyable, experience. With wonderful results. I’m grateful to him every time I eat a meal chewing with my whole jaw, something I didn’t believe I’d be able to do again. Thanks, Zo!”

“Went to see hygienist,first time seeing Lorriane and Christina for my clean today They both made me feel at ease, Lorriane explained everything she was going to do, explained what's happening to my gums and teeth and gave great advice on how to help keep my teeth as long as possible. Even when I admitted to not doing my teeth cleaning as well as I should she never made me feel bad just encouraged me to improve best I could. No pictures but I am waiting on a travel case for all my different inerdental brushes to do wherever I am :-)”

I suffer from an extreme fear of the dentist due to a bad experience as a kid and every time I've been to the Didsbury Dental Lounge I've always felt calm. The staff are wonderful and patient with you and treat you with the up most respect. I definitely recommend coming here as when I arrive for my appointments I tend not to have my pre appointment anxiety .”
