“My prostate problems arose following a relatively routine eye operation; basically, after the operation, I found I could not urinate. A catheter was fitted and there followed nearly five months under the care of a local NHS hospital with visits to A and E, UTIs, large amounts of blood in the urine, extreme pain, soreness, and such like. At one point I was hospitalised for eight days and an emergency operation was performed to cauterise bleeds from the prostate. Quality of life suffered. Day-to-day tasks became a trial, visits were curtailed and holidays cancelled. Finally, I was referred for a HoLEP procedure under the NHS but, because of the long waiting time and the loss of quality of life I opted for the operation to be performed at Spire Manchester by Mr Matthew Liew. The operation was performed within a few weeks from initial consultation. At that initial consultation, the procedure was thoroughly explained and all my questions answered. I was extremely satisfied with the treatment that I received during all my time at Spire Manchester under Mr Liew's care. Post-op, the staff were kind, attentive and supportive. They explained how the operation had gone and what to expect in the coming days and weeks. My recovery so far has followed what was outlined; blood in the urine ceased after about ten days and incontinence has diminished week by week and although still present it has only been six weeks since the operation; it is manageable and much improved since the early weeks. What has changed is my general quality of life. As my wife said, it's given us our lives back since we must be aware of the impact that this has not just on ourselves but on friends and loved-ones too. We are extremely grateful for everything that Mr Liew and the other staff have done for us and we would highly recommend this route to anyone. “This morning I called to get my heyfever injection, I managed to get a cheaper rate as they had an offer on. My appointment was booked for 2hrs after my call, I arrived I had a consultation first with a doctor, I explained to her my previous medial history and we decided that the injection was the best option for me. Amy administered my injection, she was so friendly and welcoming, she went through all of the side affects and double checked my medical history also printed off a booklet of information about the injection. Would definitely recommend, fast and easy process”

“Service was very professional and speedy, I was able to get an appointment within 2 weeks relatively easily and they even were helpful in organising an extra blood test I needed for my work. The place was easy enough to access via public transport (I walked from train station, not too far from victoria) All staff were helpful and the doctor who performed my medical was really pleasant, polite and good rumoured which put me at ease. The first staff member who took my photo seemed a bit abrupt but I think she was rushed. Overall a very good service. I realize the medicals seem a bit pricey but it did what I needed it to do.”

“I recently had four tyres changed at the Stretford branch and despite a pressure fault arising a couple of days laters, the staff were fantastic and their customer service was exemplary. Following a return visit within 24-hours of informing them of the problem, I was invited to return to get the problem sorted. Within 20-minutes, I was handed my vehicle back. I can highly recommend using this branch and fully intend to revisit for future MOT’s and servicing.”

“I had a great experience with Dr. Ussama Butt and the team. They did an excellent job cleaning my teeth, and everything was explained clearly throughout the process. During my next visit, he took a 3D scan to create custom trays for teeth whitening. I picked up the trays and whitening solution at the following appointment, and everything fit perfectly. The whole process was smooth, and I’m really happy with the way things were done. Highly recommend!”

“Had to go here for a C spine MRI and I was so nervous and worried but the place has a really relaxing atmosphere in very posh surroundings, the scanner is down a few steps but they have a lift if needed. There were few people in and I was taken straight down. Had my own changing room and locker for valuables and the technicians were so lovely I can’t fault it. I had my head in a cradle which was better for me and my claustrophobia coz I could see the room n my feet and not the roof of the scanner. They provided ear buds and headphones with the radio on. I cud have fallen asleep if it was any longer. I was referred via the nhs. I would really recommend going here. I’m actually a bit disappointed my next MRI in 2 weeks is not here! Lol, I no complaints at all.”
