“I couldn't fault the service I received from Petstay at all. Jason was so friendly and found me the perfect pet sitter for my dog Pixie. I was initially extremely nervous as the only sitter available for my dates away was a lady with 2 dogs of her own. My dog is an only dog and is unashamedly a bit of a 'princess', so I wasn't sure how she'd cope. I have left her in kennels previously, and she didn't settle at all and lost a lot of weight, so I was uncomfortable leaving her again for 2 weeks, whilst we were away in America. I met with Dianne and her 2 dogs, when Pixie and I went for an initial home visit. Dianne is such a natural 'dog' person and is clearly very experienced at owning dogs and she made me feel so at ease and asked all the right questions about Pixie and wanted to find out as much as she could about her, to make her stay go well. We even agreed to go on a couple of walks together before Pixies stay, so I could see where Pixie would be walked and so the dogs could get use to each other beforehand. I was really nervous about leaving Pixie and thought it would spoil my holiday, to constantly be worrying about her but Dianne and I had agreed that we would keep in touch throughout the holiday with little updates and photos now and again, this meant I could really enjoy my holiday and Pixie could enjoy her time away too. After picking Pixie up she has settled back into life at home again and I would have absolutely no hesitation using Dianne again and would recommend using Petstay to anyone (and have already recommended them to my veterinary practice).”

“We have used Scamps & Champs for over 6 years since we got our dog, Dougie. Every dog walker who has walked him has been professional, kind and caring. Dougie gets to walk and socialise with other dogs and loves all of the walkers but especially Jackie, who is his regular walker. We've also used the boarding service which is second to none. The online service is easy to use and allows flexibility to schedule and cancel walks as necessary. I would recommend the company to anyone (actually I did - my sister in law also uses them and loves them!)”

“As a family tradition we go out for breakfast on the morning of a holiday. We tried this cafe as the reviews were very positive and my wife had heard about it through a work colleague. The staff were very welcoming. There were a few regulars in who made the place seem very community focussed, more friends than customers. The food was really good freshly prepped after we ordered. When I mentioned where we going on holiday the lady who served us explained she was from that same area originally and advised us of things to look out for. Can't fault it. We will visit again definitely.”

The food and service were excellent; the paneer cocktail was something I had never had before, the naans were incredibly fluffy, and the cobra was delicious. The total cost came to about £28 per person. I'm happy to confirm that Marple Spice remains fantastic. The staff was so kind and we will definitely be returning.”

“We had a fantastic time at The Bake House! After finding out our originally planned venue for afternoon tea was closed we called the Bake House and they accommodated us at the last minute! We were too late to order afternoon tea but they did their best to give us the experience by plating up our sandwiches into a platter and putting our chosen cakes on a cake stand. Delicious baked good, teas coffees and scrumptious milkshakes for the kids. 100% recommend!”

“Well this was my first experience here, it was recommended by a friend to take my children and experience delicious grilled food. I have the most pickiest of children that you can image but boy did the food here amaze them and have them licking their fingers! The service was second to none, the staff was warm and friendly and really made the kids feel welcome and safe. The starters, right through to the mains were beautifully presented and full of flavour, moist and juicy to the very last bite. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking to sit down with friends and family and enjoy a meal that will leave an impression. Definitely worth the drive up north! I think this will be a firm family staple.”

“Just received an Uber eats delivery! First time trying and wow, honestly stunned as to how fresh, tasty, authentic and delicious this whole meal was. I rarely order Chinese any more as it’s so hit and miss. But the salt and pepper ribs (without batter) were just unreal, meat falling off the bone, super tasty sautéed veg, you can tell they’ve put a lot of love into every dish here and as a fellow chef I really appreciate it! Feels worth the spend, ten fold when the quality is this high. Sweet and sour chicken was just 10/10, really lean crispy chicken pieces, thick high quality sauce, salt and pepper chips, again really tasty, spicy and fresh. Everything perfectly seasoned too! Thank you! You now have a return customer if it continues this way :)”

“Visiting Stockport for the day and saw this place did vegan pizza, so thought we would give it a try. They have an amazing offer for a 12" pizza for 6.95, either vegan pepperoni or veggie. We chose the veggie (violife cheese) and it was lovely. The best vegan pizza we have had. Lovely thin and crispy base! The cheesy garlic bread 5.95 was also beautifully cooked and very tasty! If you are vegan stop by, you won't be disappointed. A lovely, fresh, hot lunch for 14.95 (pizza, garlic bread and a can of san pelligrino). Thank you Fireaway!”

“I discovered Barkley and Fetch in a pet shop in Bakewell, I love the patterns and designs of their products. Since then I have been buying collars on line not only for me but our son’s dogs too. We love them. They wash and wear really well and the quality is excellent. We love the colourful designs and the more neutral ones too. I can recommend Barkley and Fetch and currently have my eye on a doggie bag for walks.”

With that being said,… This establishment is made with love, passion, blood, sweat, and determination that came from its owner, Jori Lakars, aka Hott Mama, aka The Mama who always gave herself goals and standards that benefited the world to the fullest and implemented the highest standards possible. A quick glance at her path shows that she has been successful in the industry well known in a way that the number of 5 reviews or social media followers will not reflect. I met her personally only once before she moved to England about 17 years ago. She was working in a popular tattoo shop in Wicker Park that I won’t name. ( if you know, you know) the had long ravenous hair and substantially fewer tattoos. Although I had met many women who were in the industry, few were celebrated by their peers. The shop posted a large banner in the front window that said ‘we have a female tattoo artist.’ I had never seen that before even in a liberal city like Chicago. Soon after that, every shop in the area had at least one ‘female.’ She went on to work at many of the best rated shops and worked on the best artists in the business as clients. When she moved, we were sad yet proud to see that she was following her passion overseas. She would wonder up one of the top artists anywhere she worked. She finally got her own place and put every ounce of work into it. Sadly, she had just acquired two young brilliant talents just recently. A couple of weeks ago, she passed away in a car accident without any warning. I t is a shock that she is gone and her energy is eternally resting. I have known her half of my life and I have never known anyone like her. A true inspiration and individual person who is driven to create. If you are lucky enough to have had a moment with her, you know what I mean. Love to her local community from Chicago. We were all lucky enough to be together for as long as we could,…… Cheers to Jori.”

“Our second visit and again, an absolutely fantastic evening! Superb food, all 3 courses were fantastic just like last time. The house red is brilliant too! The pasta and pizza were great and the ricotta cheesecake was to die for! So so good! Outdoor dinning was lovely in the courtyard. Already looking forward to going back again soon! Highly recommend, gluten free and vegan options available. Perfect for couples and families. It’s an absolute little gem!”
