“Absolutely fabulous night watching the production of 'Dad's Army'. Characters were so true to TV adaptation. Singing WW2 songs in the audience really added to the ambience.”

“I went there last night and I had a great time. Miranda Parker, who I worked with for Factory International last year and worked with her on Anton Benson's production of Aladdin at Queen Elizabeth hall last year. I have a Master's in Writing for Stage and Screen, and if anyone one to get involved they are doing 25 days of Oldham project in which you can make a short film, play, or poem and it will be shown a Shaw theatre before Christmas. So if you want to get involved in the industry here is a good start.”

“A great location with ample parking available - there are also bus routes nearby. Bright and clean, along with good access for all having a lift available. A view of the Oldham Athletic pitch thrown in! I have attended a number of events here, and can recommend the centre for both social and business functions. Catering has always been very good, with friendly and efficient staff.”

“We love this place but sometimes can get too much by certain individuals, to be called homaphobic is a disgusting word to me & ruined a great night,still 10/10 though,”

“My daughters love going to Wild Things, it has made their confidence flourish and they love going every week. Tom and Nancy and the staff are fantastic with the children and encourage every child to be themselves. It's more than just a drama school, it's a place that will make every child feel valued. The shows they put on are amazing and seeing our girls on stage performing fills us with pride. They don't hesitate to stand up infront of their class now and that is all down to Wild Things.”

“My daughter absolutely loves dancing here. She's been made to feel so welcome coming from another dance school and fitted in so well straight away. Shes come on in leaps and bounds. Miss Sally is just so lovely too. She's so good with the girls. They all love her. It's so good to see. Like a family. And I've made some lovely friends there too with the dance mum's. X”

“First trip to Oldham town centre for almost 50 years! Oldham road once had pubs on almost every corner as you headed there from Manchester City Centre, many from the long gone Oldham brewery. Madge fancied a trip on the Metro and we spotted this pub in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide. Well worth the trip for just this corner pub. A bank of ten real ales. Great vibe plus a front pavement seating area. Madge found a new Oldham brewery..We are Wolf. Bar snacks incl sausage rolls. Great visit.”

“Just been to watch 'Everyone's talking about Jamie'. Wow, just wow. What a brilliant production. I cried, properly cried and I turned to my friend who was also crying. The acting capability was outstanding. The venue, lovely, small and perfectly adequate. Never been to a show at the Playhouse before, but would 100% return. What an amazing night watching some talented young and older actors.”

“My wife and I visit Scona every Sunday morning for a treat whilst our kids are at a local yoga class. The scones are AMAZING, obviously, but so are the breakfasts and drinks. Excellent service, too. Roll on Sunday! :)”

“A lovely little theater with a really warm and friendly welcome. The play we saw there was locally written with local actors and was very well done as well as very moving. It was a quality that could easily be performed at a much bigger theatre.”

“My first visit in many years despite visiting the Castle pub opposite fairly often. A lovely two room pub with booth seating in the front bar area and a traditional back room. They had two JW Lees real ales on sale but Albrecht treated me to a pint of Guinness. Very good. He had San Miguel.”

“Nice, old-fashioned very traditional British pub with a cool back room where bands play. Friendly service and a good atmosphere, the back room is small so perfect for an intimate gig. Good selection of beers on at the bars including Robinson's Trooper which is a personal fave!”

“Great place, great atmosphere. Always call in now when on a night out in Ashton, and it never disappoints! Great tunes, karaoke (some good and bad!), everyone's always friendly and always have a laugh when in there, cheap beers and shots what else do you need? Would highly recommend.”

The entire concierge team, of Monika, Precious, Jon and I'm forgetting the name of the other bloke (sorry), were also part reason why I extended by contract by 6 more months. They were just amazing at their work and exceptionally good with people. The management team of Jenna and Zvi were quite professional and helpful in every manner. The amenities, social events, convenience, and location in the city were top-notch, and the overall atmosphere made Broadside feel like home.
