“Brilliant place with a great atmosphere. Very comfortable and welcoming with extremely friendly volunteers running it. Brings a real sense of community which is part of the aim. They run a fab cafe with some very different choices of food and also include vegetarian and vegan options too. Events and projects for the community run during the day and the evening. There's a bar for evening events which serves a great selection of drinks at incredibly reasonable prices. A very relaxed informal welcoming place. Open mic night is lots of fun with anyone and everyone encouraged to get up and play or sing. Very eclectic with something for everyone. Lots of local artisans and artists sell their wares here too and there are lots of plans in the pipeline yet to come”

“I had to write this review straight away, as it was such a pleasure to visit a pub where we were met so warmly, the cask beer range produced in house is excellent ( Tried two & both very drinkable & very reasonably priced ) It was just a shame I had a train to catch otherwise I would have stayed! I will definitely be back & can only recommend! (Trains roughly every half hour from Manchester lovely small beer garden which is a sun trap!”

There were 4 fantastic not big brewet ales on tonight with good rock background music next door to the Hyde central station This pub, when drinking real ales in Hyde, is an essential visit”

“Mark, Claire and the team are so very welcoming. Such a great bunch of people on both sides of the bar. The venue is cool and quirky. Interesting features such as the wagon wheel. Also loved looking at the art. There's live music, and sometimes food!! One of my favourite places to spend time in tameside!”

“My recent dinner experience at The Rising Moon Restaurant Pub was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Everything, from the moment we walked in to the time we left, exceeded our expectations. The food was simply amazing. Every dish we ordered was prepared perfectly, delivered piping hot, and tasted incredible. It’s clear the kitchen takes great pride in the quality of their ingredients and cooking. Beyond the food, the atmosphere was delightful. There was a lively, warm buzz amongst the other diners, creating a very welcoming and comfortable environment that made our evening truly enjoyable. What really made the night memorable was the exceptional service provided by the entire team. All the staff members we interacted with were incredibly nice, polite, and attentive. In particular, I must give a special mention to Adam, who was truly great. Adam was not only very friendly and professional, but he went above and beyond to make our visit special. When he learned it was my mother's birthday, he kindly and thoughtfully brought out a slice of cake for her. This gesture of genuine care and attention made her day and demonstrated a level of service that is rarely seen. The combination of great food, wonderful atmosphere, and exemplary service ensures that we will definitely be returning to The Rising Moon Pub again very soon. We had a lovely evening, and I highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a superb dining experience. “Had a great retirement party upstairs. The staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble . We used the resident DJ who was very good . We were also able to use our own caterer. Everyone commented on how big and nice the room is . Definitely recommend.”

“Never been here before but there was a band playing that we wanted to see. Great that some pubs are still willing to have live music. Really busy but the staff were excellent so no problem getting served. Although there was a choice of bitters it's a shame that there was no cask ale. A good looking pub and a friendly atmosphere and the band were brilliant so a really enjoyable Saturday night.”

“New Landlord Ryan has only been there 24 hours but what a difference already - obviously still got a few things to do but Rome wasn’t built in a day. Definitely a lot cleaner and beer tastes miles better! Nice to actually have hand soap in the toilets as well”

“We absolutely love it here! are regulars at Mottram wood because as a family of 6 we find that it has everything we need for all of us. Great food, friendly staff, a good play area for the kids and an outside area. And then the food is decent pub grub at a very reasonable price. We find it to be the best play area / restaurant around Manchester. We came here for Christmas dinner which was great and so reasonably priced and today my son just had his 6th birthday party at the wacky warehouse. Alex and Jess in the play area are outstanding and can’t do enough for you and the kids adore them too.”

“Really enjoyed my stay here, the staff were outstanding and hospitable, the bar next to the lobby had a welcoming, cozy feel, wonderful menu and lovely rooms. I'm not sure about some of the complaints on the size, it seemed average to me, but it was very clean which is high on my importance list, as was the rest of the hotel. This hotel is away from the city bustle a bit, but a lot of trees around the property make it very relaxing and a pleasure to escape the traffic. My only feedback is the vegan sausage in the morning was freezer burned and a little bland, they can be tossed in oil & seasoning to add flavor, but fresh/defrosted is best. My veg pizza was wonderful, so was the veg burger. Great buffet in morning. Outstanding staff professionalism in housekeeping and lobby.”
