“Really nice guys and owners, especially the ones working at the back in the meat section. We were new to the area and came across their shop by chance. When we went in to ask them about their meat, they were kind enough to give us a free box of marinated chicken for stir fry. We’ve just cooked it now, and it was the best chicken stir fry we’ve ever had. Miles better than what you would get at a takeaway. Ingredients and spices were all fresh, none of the pre-packaged sauces or spices. More than happy to come back and buy our meat from here and definitely try other stuff too.”

She works with a genuine smile, is friendly to everyone, and goes out of her way to remember people’s orders. Very interesting place for breakfast or lunch in Cheadle. This cafe is definitely a positive addition to the Cheadle community - making it feel more like some of the cafes in Didsbury. It is very clean and had a nice friendly atmosphere. The manegment adhere to the Jewish community, hence this cafe is closed on a Saturday. You will find lots of nice things on the menu and everything is well presented and clean as stated above. The reason I can't give this more than the 4 stars, is based on the disposable plates, knifes and forks and coffee / tea cups. I imagine on a good day this Cafe must go through a lot of disposable waste. Not sure if any of this is recyclable (but I have no proof) so effectively this cafe could contribute to world pollution (perhaps comments from management will put me right on this issue). It would be good to have notices saying the cutlery , crockery is all recyclable as this would get another star from me. And lastly but not leastly there is only one Vegan option on the menu. As we all know Veganism is on the rise and it is always good to have more Vegan options on the menu. On the other hand for the Jewish community it isn't an essential - but for the public it might be. In conclusion I would recommend this place as it gives a fresh look to the Cheadle community and it is clean. Worth a visit if you are in Cheadle.”

Very reasonable prices. You will never find such food in this price range. Free roadside parking for 1 hr. Quickly served. Not much place to sit inside but manageable for 8-10 people. Halal food .”

“My doctors are very slow and often forget to do my prescription but this pharmacy is the best one I've been to and they are on top of chasing them up and message when my prescription is ready and are all very friendly and empathetic. No complaints from me at all. Recently moved and they said I can stay with them as my nominated. Would recommend this pharmacy”

“I visited Costa Gatley Sunday afternoon — a clean, well-maintained store with a cosy atmosphere and a good selection of food options. However, what stood out during my visit was an interaction at the till that left me quite surprised, and not in a good way. When I ordered a medium hot drink, the young girl serving me actively discouraged the choice. She suggested I go for a smaller size, saying: “There’s not much difference in size — go for the small and save some pennies.” As someone who has run a business for over a decade, I found this quite concerning. In most places, staff are trained to upsell — encouraging customers to consider larger sizes or additional items, which is standard practice in retail and hospitality. Her approach, while possibly well-intentioned, directly goes against basic principles of sales and revenue generation. Encouraging customers to spend less, especially unprompted, may seem kind, but it’s ultimately damaging to the business. In my view, this isn’t just unprofessional — it’s a risk to the long-term health of the store. Costa may want to consider reviewing training procedures to ensure staff understand the balance between customer service and commercial awareness. Thank you”
