“The food is made to order with fresh ingredients, the food is presented nicely and there is more than enough for 2 per course per person, the lady who took our order and served us was really nice and explained the dishes we was looking at and advised us on a few things as well, she took the time to have a chat with us inbetween courses, over all the food was excellent and we had food to take home with us too for later. There was only us in there so we had a good 2 hours to enjoy each course and enjoy our own company, we would definitely recommend to all our family and friends and we will be using this for our takeaway food as well as going back to eat in.”

“I’ve been coming to The Hare and Hounds in Middleton week after week, and I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience here. From the classic Sunday roast to the rotating chef’s specials, the food is consistently 10/10 — it’s far beyond what you’d expect from pub food and easily rivals high-end restaurants. Every dish is beautifully presented, full of flavour, and perfectly cooked. Portion sizes are generous, and the prices are almost unbelievable given the quality you get. Drinks are also great value, with top brands served at very reasonable prices. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help, no matter how busy it gets. They always do their best to accommodate everyone including dietary needs, and make you feel right at home. “First time here, as a family we booked a table, and had table service off David who was really lovely and helpful. We didnt have to wait long for the food, even though the pub was busy.The food was amazing and very flavoursome. Not long after we finished our food the staff cleared our table and asked for any desserts, which arrived very quickly. Will definitely be coming back in the future! Lovely staff!”

“Took my Rotweiler a few times, it's nice to go in a pub with a big dog and people don't look down on him. The staff give him treats and come and stroke him, always a filled water bowl. Great food & they do dog Sunday dinners which go down a treat for £2.50 & a lovely normal roast dinner too. The food menu has a lot of variety. Brilliant view of the canal from the carpark. We love it here”
