“This is a perfect example of a local cafe that provides more than just great food. It's quick to realise that the staff here offer the greatest of welcomes and offers friendship and support to the regulars but that warm welcome and traditional respect is offered to visitors alike. The food is freshly made to order and drinks are hot when they arrive at your table. Its clear it has a firm place in the hearts of the local community and the staff are fantastic. They are helpful, honest, caring and understanding of people's wellbeing and the economic situation that we are all in. Today I had fish, chips and peas with bread and butter as well as a steaming hot tea all for under £8. My only small negative was it was served on a lukewarm plate but that is the only negative I could find in this truly heartwarming cafe. It's spotless with cleaning after every customer. This is the place to be - which is kind to your purse with a heart of gold. Definitely will be back!”

“We arrived at Bean & Bun just as they were closing, but the staff were very welcoming and accommodating; we didn’t feel rushed. We had a nice meal that was made fresh, and to our tastes. “First time my husband and I have visited here. We decided to treat ourselves to a large Sunday breakfast and we can assure you we were not disappointed.
