Tasted like real Eastern European cooked in the home, which is actually what the lovely host told us: all cooked by his wife. Unbelievable desert, nothing was too heavy, but rich and layered tastes. “Came here for our anniversary meal and it honestly was the best meal we have had! The staff were incredible throughout the night, and whilst we didn’t get their names, the young, blonde lady and the middle aged, olive skinned gentleman who served us a glass of bubbly each were amazing. “Fantastic restaurant serving freshly cooked Palestinian food of a high standard and with lovely warm service that is attentive and efficient. We’ve eaten at many Middle Eastern restaurants and this is one the best we’ve been to. The Knafeh is excellent and ends a wonderful meal. We also loved the freshly squeezed orange juice and strawberry, mango and pineapple smoothie! If only they had Palestinian ice cream!”

“I ate here last night with my two children and it was amazing. The food was delicious, fresh, came out quickly, and looked fantastic. The service was excellent, the staff were friendly and helpful, and it was lovely and clean. It was my 8-year-old's birthday and the staff made him feel so special. They brought out his cake with a sparkling candle and happy birthday music playing. He loved it!”

“A nice fine dining restaurant with absolutely delicious food. We visited the restaurant for lunch and it was an amazing experience. There are various options for both vegetarian and non vegetarians. It is a husband and wife who run this place and you can tell they put their heart and soul in to each dish and the service they give is attentive and really friendly. “Amazing restaurant! First time going to Mint Kitchen as my regular is slipping down hill. The food was ready waiting for me to collect, nice portion sizes, though mint kitchen rice portions are slightly smaller than what I'm used to but all that means is I can actually finish a meal with no left overs. The chicken was really juicy with "no bad bits" (The wife is picky with meat). I think Mint Kitchen is my new regular when it comes to a curry!”

“Arrived around 5:50 pm on a Saturday evening — busy enough with most tables filled, but still comfortable. We sat down and ordered a Pho and Summer Rolls. Barely five minutes later, our food was on the table. Having tried a lot of decent Vietnamese spots around Manchester since Viet Shack moved from the Arndale, I hadn’t visited this location until now. I have to say, it’s very impressive — the Pho was full of rich, aromatic flavours, and the Summer Rolls were fresh and beautifully presented. Service was friendly and efficient despite the busy atmosphere, making the whole experience even better. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Ancoats and craving authentic Vietnamese food.”

“What an amazing venue this is, recently moved from another location, there's an incline up to the front door but NO steps. I will definatley be going again, my initial thoughts were that you had to book a meal or a show to go in, but NO you can just go in for drinks like any other bar. There's big screens showing current sports events and if there's an evening performer on there are soundproof doors separating the 2 rooms. Great for a night out keep a look out on Facebook or Skiddle (event ticket app) for upcoming shows. We saw an ABBA tribute act and they were brilliant. There's plenty of seats. When you book your tickets you get a table all with a great view. A waitress will come round to take any drinks orders and pay by card so you won't miss any of the show either. Everywhere is spotless, there's plenty of places for a photo op, there's even a photo booth downstairs near the loos. And all the staff were lovely too.”

“My boyfriend took me here for my birthday dinner and we had the most wonderful evening! Upon arrival we were greeted warmly by the hostess and seated immediately. For starters we had calamari, focaccia and olives - all were delicious! Our mains, the pizza and steak were equally yummy. The highlight of the evening for me was when the waiters brought out a cake and sang happy birthday. “We arrived at the restaurant on Sunday and were greeted so warmly by the host/manager. We have been a few times to this restaurant and the bar staff recognised us which was so lovely, recognition from staff goes a long way and made us feel so warm and welcome! Drinks arrived so quickly and he even remembered what we had last time we visited which was incredible service from him. The cocktails didn’t disappoint. The service was unbelievable, at no point did we have to ask for drinks order or food order to be taken. They’re incredibly attentive here. The food is artwork, it is so fresh and home made which is exactly what you want in a lovely independent restaurant. The lighting was perfect and the music fitted the restaurant aesthetic and the time of day we arrived. I can’t fault this place whatsoever, can’t recommend it enough.”
