“Mezzaluna has become our favourite Italian restaurant. We love to bring more and more friends here, to try their wonderful menu! The staff are all so lovely and friendly, they even help you make up your mind when you're uncertain what to have! The facilities are clean and well kept, the atmosphere is cosy yet spacious. We look forward to every opportunity to come back! Our favourites are the carbonara and another dish with pistachios crushed and mixed in. Their desserts are freshly made on site and if you get the chance try their profiteroles, you won't be disappointed!”

“Really lovely place with great food! My husband order a burger and I ordered a burrito. Enjoyed the food and the price was reasonable. If there's an improvement maybe it would be nice to have a spiced rice instead of plain rice for the burrito as it watered down the taste but overall, we enjoyed the food. Husband said it was probably the best burger that he had in Manchester! The fries that we had was amazing too! We'd love to be back and try the other stuff in their menu.”

“Our go to Chinese. Food always comes warm and can never fault it. Collection is speedy, ready in around 20 minutes usually. Their chow meins and ribs are always a favourite.”

“More recent visit: My partner and I visited Verona midweek and had a wonderful time. We were both spoiled for choice with all the amazing sounding dishes on the menu. The man who owns the restaurant is very friendly with a great sense of humour. It was a nice touch when he came over to take our order. There aren't many tables so I'd recommend booking in advance as it always seems busy, and I can see why! Took my mother for Mother's Day. Phoned up on the day and they were able to fit us in at prime time immediately. Food was served quickly and tasted great for a very reasonable price. Would definitely go again.”

“We’ve been looking for a Chinese takeaway to call our favourite and not had much luck with the ones local to us. Found Golden Crown based on a friends recommendation and happy to say we’ve found our new favourite! Bit of a drive but well worth it. We tried the combo for 2 and everything was amazing especially the crispy chicken in OK sauce. 10/10!!”

“Not been here since we moved near Farnworth for over 10 years. And went this evening as craved some noodles. So glad we went back! Service, impeccable! Food, spot on! Cooked fresh, tasty and nice portions. Needless to say, from now on I am making the 10 min drive to here, rather than our local now, as its hands down 100 x better. “First visit here and what a little gem we have found. Lovely relaxed ambience with friendly attentive staff.bookings come with a 2 HR slot which is more than enough for a lovely relaxing experience which doesn't feel rushed allowing time to chat and relax between courses. My husband had the soup of the day and I had pate( I asked for extra bruschetta) and it came with more than enough!! For main we both had the chicken roulade which was exquisite , followed by strawberry cheesecake for hubby and sticky toffee pudding for myself, this was on another level,with homemade custard and a thin crispy topping. Amazing experience, definitely be returning soon.”

“Really enjoyed my stay – the room was nicely furnished, spotlessly clean, and offered everything I needed for a comfortable night. It felt welcoming and well cared for, and I had an undisturbed, peaceful sleep. Great value for money too. The food was another highlight. I ordered the gammon steak, which was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious – generous portion, nicely presented, and full of flavour. The overall atmosphere was warm and friendly, making it an easy place to relax and enjoy a good meal. I’d happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it to others.”

“Their kobida with naan was perfect — juicy, well-seasoned, and the naan fresh and just soft enough to soak up all the flavors. The chicken shawarma had that smoky, tender texture I look for, and the chicken tikka with rice was excellent: moist pieces of chicken, fragrant spices, and the rice was fluffy and fragrant. “I had to post as we had an amazing meal at Porada tonight. We had a party of 5 with one coeliac. Lots of choice on the menu and there was a variety of dishes ordered, everything was amazing especially the Gamberoni Taormina main.”

“Park on the side street, this place is small with two tables so if you’re coming with a big crew you maybe need to stand up and eat, the music is ok but the volume definitely needs notching down a bit. Me and two friends came and ordered the kings platter which came with dirty fries, wings, chicken breast, zinger burgers and more. The star of the show was the zinger burger and dirty fries which was 9/10 so definitely try them. A lil arcade machine in the corner for your pleasure to reminisce old times. Payment via cash or contactless and they also do milkshakes well. The owner is very passionate about the business and he has a team of ladies working behind and everything seems to work seamlessly. I will go again cuz I enjoyed the zinger burger and dirty fries.”

“Excellent place to eat. Ordered the donner and chicken mix in naan, was very delicious! So big I could barely finish it! Well worth the price! Value for money! Will definitely return for more. Edit: did return for more and this time got the chicken karahi and lamb karahi curries after the owner recommended it. The curries were absolutely amazing! Recommended 10/10”
