“I was admitted to SDEC, assessed quickly and transferred to AMU for overnight assessment. The day after I was fitted with a pacemaker in the morning and came home in the afternoon. I was given excellent care and attention in all departments. I had no delays. I was also expecting the food not to be good but it was fine with choices for every meal. Thank you to all at Stepping hill, especially ward A in the AMU and the surgical team”

It is totally at variance with what I {with forty years of guiding children through education} have observed. My grandson moved here from a school which was inadequate. Members of staff here charged with his teaching have given much of their free time to help him achieve the standards of which they consider him capable. The stars are for the school, NOT the report.”

Both the podiatry and district nurses teams are fabulous and have been fantastic with me whether it’s been home visits or clinic attendances since I came out of hospital in February - l won’t name individual nurses as I want to protect their privacy but be sure l know them. The receptionists are just gorgeous and forever helpful, going out of there way for patients and keeping you updated if you are awaiting PTS. You also wait very little time for your appointment and l have only been treated with kindness, respect and a smile on their faces. Just one point if you would indulge me; to the person who commented about the area being run down and the patients looking much like the area - how bloody dare you, what an absolute vile and narcissistic person you are! For the Grace of God.comes to mind. It’s my first time ever at the clinic and coming from working in an emergency department one thing l have never seen are patients being abusive and berating staff, no loud music from headphones or patients being loud on their phones - you should be ashamed of yourself with your outdated beliefs. Anyway guys, it’s a great place for your treatment here and all the staff are excellent. Apologies for the essay but I do get cross at people’s biases.”

“Honestly I love this GP. Everyone seems to complain about the receptionist but every time i’ve been in there i’ve never had an issue at all they’re all very kind and friendly and very well clued up too! There’s great doctors at this practice- however there is a very small minority of doctors maybe 1 or 2 that you would have to be very unlucky to get. Careless, dismissive and unhelpful - however once you know who to avoid cough Dr Watson cough and find a doctor you get along with and who cares which is most of them tbh, you will have a good experience. I’ve had a really tough time the last month and have had many appointments and they’ve always been so helpful and reassuring. Actually left one of my appointments with a smile just feeling so grateful for them helping me and being generally so lovely. Dr Price is the best i’ve come across she’s the best! I literally never write reviews but I was curious what other people thought and was genuinely shocked. The emergency appointment system is much better from when they used to make you log onto AskMyGP at 8am. Now you can call anytime from 8am to around 12 noon and then that’s when they will start to triage all of their appointments in order or priority for that day. Much fairer, don’t have to be first in the queue just have to have a priority issue. Even routine appointments are quite good now too, longest I waited for an appointment on a routine basis was around 14days. Good for a routine appointment. The late evening appointments eg at 19:30 are a really good idea and very helpful. Only downside is the pharmacy is closed at those times so you’d have to wait till the following morning to pick it up from the pharmacy downstairs. Overall great practice par the couple bad apples.”

“Went with my husband to Halton urgent care centre this morning, who said they couldn’t deal with the issue and he would have to go to A&E at Warrington. We arrived just before 9 o clock, expecting a long wait. My husband was seen by 10 different people, from taking bloods and blood pressure, triage nurse, x-ray, specialist. All sorted out by 11 am. Excellent service could not have asked for better. I appreciate that anyone requiring an hospital bed would have had a significantly longer wait, but we should appreciate the good work the staff are doing and the pressures they are under, give praise when due, not just criticism.”

But my loan was sorted via The British Business bank who helped me with my business plan, and after a few weeks and amendments, they facilitated a start up loan with GC. From the moment it was approved it took around 7 days for the funds to hit my account and I am now on my way to getting started thanks to British Business Bank and GC Business Finance. I can not speak on behalf of others, but for myself it has been a pleasure. Others mention the wait times for calls if you have problems, but all you need to do is press 1 on your keypad and you stay in line and they call you back. As I say, I was told the wait time would be 100 mins and the automated service advised me if I wanted I could get a call back by simply pressing 1, it read back my number and in less than an hour I received my call, no issues, staff very friendly. I will say this, I emailed them recently and they never replied to the email. If any problems arise in the future I will update, but for now, I am happy.”

What started as a very scary experience became very rapidly a great healing process. The ward is modern and well looked after, constant cleaning,nice comfy chairs,great occupational therapy classes available each weekday, food is delivered cipus with home made soups and desserts and a choice of food daily. The nursing staff in their entirety including the night staff work extremely hard to support and encourage patients ,they're very skilled at encouraging healthy choices to assist healing. Nice touches like the 9 pm toast makes it surprisingly homely Don't be afraid if you have to stay-at-home the staff will care for you so well with dedication and enthusiasm.”
