“The Manchester College is the largest further education college in the United Kingdom. It is the largest provider of 16–19 and adult education in Greater Manchester. The origins of the college go back to the early 19th century St. John's Sunday school, a pioneering school for workers. By the 1950s this had evolved into St John's and Openshaw Technical College. Later mergers created the Central College Manchester which became The Manchester College of Arts and Technology in Manchester, while institutions in Central Manchester, Fielden Park, Arden and Wythenshawe merged to form City College Manchester. In 2008 these two combined to form The Manchester College. The Manchester College offers courses for school leavers, adults, higher education students, employers and international students. The Manchester College is based at many sites in the city: these include Moston, Abraham Moss Community School, One Central Park, Manchester Enterprise Academy, the sixth form of St Matthew's RC High School and Harpurhey in the North; Openshaw, Preston Street, Welcomb Street, Nicholls Campus in Ardwick[9] and the Manchester School of Building in the East; Fielden Park (Didsbury), Northenden, Wythenshawe Forum and Brownley Green Wythenshawe in the South; locations in the city centre include St John's in Castlefield, Lever Street, and Shena Simon Campus in Chorlton Street in Manchester city centre. As well as this, the college are due to build a new site on the old Boddingtons' site - opposite the Manchester Arena. The MOL division specialises in delivering professional development training programmes by flexible learning. MOL has existed for more than 30 years providing HR, management, estate agency, construction and electrical engineering courses. Many courses are delivered in partnership with professional bodies such as the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) and the National Federation of Property Professionals (NFOPP). They all were so kind and patient with me and my endless questions, and on the multiple occasions where I panicked and thought I wouldn't be able to go. They truly help you with every single thing and help you every step of the way. My very anxious self couldn't ask for anything more, and I ended up having a life-changing summer! Iq Daisy Bank

    ★★★★☆ 4.5
    Open

“It's a quiet, good house, worth living in. The team members are all very professional and friendly, especially Claudia and Mario. The five-star rating is all because of them; the housing experience would otherwise deserve at most four stars. Objectively speaking, those one-star reviews are a bit exaggerated. The house is indeed a bit far from the school and the city center, and there are few shops around. However, there is a bus stop with the 50 route right at the doorstep, so it's not particularly inconvenient. Regarding the WiFi, it's true that it's very slow for gaming, but it's fine for attending classes and watching videos. Throughout my communication with Claudia and Mario, they also helped me clear up many misunderstandings. Overall, the feeling was quite positive. In short, I would give Claudia and Mario a five-star rating.”
