After struggling with severe pain from my coil for weeks—so bad I couldn't even go to work—I was growing increasingly frustrated with the NHS's long waiting times. Thankfully, I found Mr. Maiti, who turned my situation around. From our initial consultation to the scan, Mr. Maiti was incredibly thorough and reassuring. “I've been suffering with abdominal pain for over 6 months and it was put down to suspected gallbladder issues. I was referred to Prof Sheen who after a HIDA scan ruled that out. I was tested for ACNES as an alternative cause and surgery was suggested. I was booked into the Spire and the surgery was carried out swiftly. 6 weeks post op and I haven't had another pain in my abdomen. I'm so pleased Prof Sheen is such an excellent surgeon and diagnostician, and my issue is solved. “This is a fantastic rehabilitation centre! It has everything you need all under one roof for every part of your rehabilitation and onwards. It is fully accessible for all disabilities. I can't rate this place highly enough for everything they do. The staff are so welcoming, friendly and supportive. It has a WRVS cafe which is open until 2pm each day. Free Wifi Offer transport services for appointments. Which you do need to book in advance. This centre offers: Specialist Rehabilitation Doctors, Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Prosthetists, Orthotists Postual Care Specialists and Counselling. Physiotherapy Gym, Wheelchair services, Occupational Therapy, Prosthetics & Orthotics - casting and fitting rooms for both children and adults, Rehabilitation Counselling. The Manchester Prosthetic User Association and Manchester Wheelchair User Group are based here to offer Peer to Peer support to the centre's users. It also has a great resource area with lots of information and event details from numerous charities - Wheel Power, Limbless Association, Limb Power, Blesma, Reach, MacMillan Cancer Support, ManFit, Age UK, LimbCare and many more. The Ability Matters Store is here too, which stocks disability aids and equipment. The lovely staff can help you find exactly what you need to make your daily routine easier. Plus plenty of accessible car-parking.”

“I've been impressed by the level of consideration, compassion, thought and care shown by the team at Tiptoes. The clinical supervision is of a class and quality that I'd not previously experienced and I valued it greatly. The office is mostly on one level so is very accessible though I think the toilet may present a challenge for wheelchair users to access unaided. It's a comfortable and welcoming environment that's open and friendly. They have an impressive array of therapeutic services available to children, families, staff and organisations. I've found my contact with this service transformational.”
