“2023: Shoes wear out, so back again. Same staff, same great service! Once again, no hard sell, lots of shoes came out, running on the treadmill, comparing two shoes at the same time. You really feel like they want the best for your feet. They also stock a large collection of running apparell, so a one stop shop. Free parking is available from the superstore up the road, so you can get your shop get your shoes, job done! Great experience shopping for running shoes, assisted by staff that actually enjoy running. Whilst my wife was being helped, I was able to watch three other ladies being attended to, each was treated as an individual, with quite different requirements and all left with running shoes they had tried, compared and had had informed detail on each one. The prices of the shoes were in the end all around the same mark, not cheap but not stupid prices and what actually mattered was they were suitable for her running style, the running surface, her personal gait and lastly a style she liked. Worth the money rather than wasted money.”

“I had such a lovely breakfast experience here. I pre ordered and booked the day before for a late morning vegetarian breakfast. The owner was very quick to respond to my social media messages and happily made adjustments to my order. Food was delicious and service was very quick. Condiments were offered and a toilet is available inside. Seating available outside during good weather. Takeaway orders are taken. The boat was warm, cosy and full of character. The owner was really friendly and asked us questions about ourselves and built up a good rapport. Will definitely return”

Lovingly prepared: thoughtful and attention to detail Very friendly and welcoming staff Good choice of cakes The food menu is limited but clever for a very small venue. Brunch and breakfast options. It's also very reasonably priced. No real negatives to report: a couple of minor things could have been better on our food (e.g. toasting/warming the bagel before adding the ingredients), but they're very minor. We will definitely come back and I'll get a bacon sandwich on the way to work soon.”

“Fantastic Bar with amazing people running it, and such a friendly crowd inside all round great atmosphere. Superb drink choice, with beers (north/ South my favourite) and cocktails a plenty (Gin Bramble my wifes favourite). They really go all out to look after you and your dogs too. My pug loves going, I have a pint she has some biscuits!”

“I had a good experience at Allura when doing my pathway to aesthetics training. Everything ran smoothly & on time, I felt very welcome on arrival and was soon shown to my training room. Abbie was very detailed in all theory & made me feel safe when injecting which I thought I would struggle with. Danielle made treatments seem a dream the glow on our models skin was outstanding. “I’ve been going to the studio to see Ned since 2019. Before that I’d not had my nails done. Beauty type settings had never really been my thing or somewhere I’d felt comfortable but I’d seen a friend get some amazing nails done by her and thought I’d try. I literally haven’t stopped since and now it’s just a thing I’m obsessed with/brings me so much joy. Everyone in the studio is lovely, the music and vibe is great, it’s really inclusive, no matter how you’re feeling you’re supported and end up feeling great, and importantly, everyone is an excellent nail artist. “Texture release treatment. I am so blown away by Marianne professionalism, kindness and knowledge. I was so nervous about doing a Texture release as this was the first time I've done this on my hair. I booked an appointment and then spoke to Marianne. She was so understanding and even encouraged me to take time to think about it. I finally made my mind up. I am so glad I did. The salon is beautiful , welcoming, a great atmosphere with massage chairs for hair wash. Marianne explained the treatment and steps and gave me so many tips to look after my hair. Was pleased to find Melissa Timperly Salon where every stylist is trained and well versed in cutting and styling curly hair. Shauna took her time with me to understand my hair inspiration and what I was trying to achieve. Was kind and understanding that appointments elsewhere had left me with less than desirable outcomes. Was mindful to check in with me throughout appointment to ensure I was leaving with results I wanted. Very pleased with my hair color and the cut. Will definitely be back for Shauna again!
