“We walked in as total beginners having no clue what we needed. Tammie & Adrian spent over 1hr talking to us and finding out what we liked in terms of looks for our bows and kitted us or accordingly. It was more like going to see mates than buying from a shop!”
“We went there recently for an axe throwing experience. This included angels, tomahawks and throwing axes. The instructor (Richard?) was very friendly, clear and patient. Safety rules explained and followed. It was a cracking experience and I would go again. The place is quite small and on a farm / equestrian centre. There is also shooting and archery available. Sat Nav sends you to a farm up the road so look at the map carefully. Free tea and coffee available, which is a nice touch. Excellent gift from a good friend.”
“Always a warm welcome from lovely friendly folk who are so knowledgeable and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. An establishment so well worth the trip and definitely worth more than 5*”
“Brilliant kayaking party for our son's 10th birthday. Will, the instructor, was absolutely lovely - warm, caring and full of fun. All the children had a fabulous time and we'll definitely be back.”
“Great shop.. friendly and knowledgeable staff”
“A delightful campsite adjacent to the Sherwood Pines visitor centre in a tranquil location. Friendly staff at reception, who pass you on to a team member on the site who help you decide on a suitable pitch based on your preference. There's a central block with toilets, showers, laundry and dog wash facilities. There's also a children's play area and a bike maintenance and wash facility so you can clean your bike after a ride. The campsite is surrounded by woodland with hiking trails and mountain bike trails, there's also plenty of wildlife in the area. The prices are a bit on the high side but it's a very well maintained site in a great location so worth paying that bit extra for. Would come back again, particularly in the off season when it's very peaceful.”
“Darwin forest lodges is a brilliant self catering lodges. The Lodge had everything we needed, it was spotlessly clean. They is a swimming pool, soft play area. Golf, spa, pool table, restaurant. The staff are very friendly and if you need help with anything they well help you. They is some lovely walks which is easy for small children. I would very highly recommend it.”
“My partner went for his Stag do. They all said they had the best time. All of them came back grinning, laughing and joking. Sounded amazing. Said the team/Marshalls were very helpful and helped make the experience. Spoke to someone via email as we had lots of changes with our booking (nothing to do with Adrenalin Jungle) but they were very helpful, always in contact, solved any issues or queries we had. Brilliant place, highly recommend and they will be going back again! Thank you so much!”
“This is a fantastic family holiday / break venue. Everything that you would need for an enjoyable time is here on site. There are activities for all age groups, some are in with the price, swimming for example, the aqua park is outstandingly good, we have had hours of fun in there. There are other activities that you have to pay for, zip wire, ten pin bowling and boating to name a few. The venue is kept spotlessly clean by the friendly attentive staff, and the accommodation is set out well, nestled in the wooded area. If you want to eat out, there is a choice of restaurants on site. If you prefer to cook your own meals, there is an on-site shop that is extensively stocked. All in all, Centre Parcs has got it right. Their focus is that the whole family have an enjoyable, memorable experience that makes you want to do it again.”
“Had a great time at the farm! The facilities are clean and well-maintained. Staff are friendly and helpful. Lots of fun and interactive activities with the animals. Kids will love the pony ride — don’t miss it!”
“Beautiful place set in a gorgeous wooded spot halfway up the side of the valley; special shoutout to the wonderful staff, most especially Mash, who, when the clasp on my bumbag broke, helped me McGyver up a fix in about fifteen seconds flat. An absolute rockstar!”
“Absolutely amazing if you love all things medieval an fantasy. Got a love new buckler and dagger from them, and the lady working was very friendly and willing to have a good chat. It's now my go-to if im ever in need of historical equipment. 10/10”
“Really great place for the kids. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The food for little ones and adults is good. Most importantly for me, staff keep an eye on the baby/toddler section to make sure no big kids go in, which means the little ones can enjoy their space. We love coming here!”
“Purpose built YHA hostel with en suite bathrooms. Perfectly located on the edge of Sherwood Forest and walking distance to a few good pubs.”
“I booked a party here for my 6 year old. Great venue, clean and well kept facilities. Food was good, home made pizza certainly went down well. Great comments about the venue from the other parents. Highly recommend.”
“Stayed for a weekend here in January in one of the cottages. The cottage was spacious and had a seriously well stocked kitchen. The Hot Tub was ready for when we arrived and being under a cover was great for the winter weather, though we were lucky and had very little rain. It's conviently located and we made a couple of trips into Edwinstowe during our stay here. I would recommend and having a had a quick walk around the small site, I would say that the barn and some of the lodges certainly look impressive from the outside.”
“Absolutely stunning place to stay! We loved the location and the rooms inside were beautiful, we loved the old fashion bathroom! I would definitely recommend this place. We only had one small downside which was the washers are shared and found it hard to get our stuff in the washers before other. Overall amazing place! It's also close to the peak district which has plenty of fun hiking trails.”
“Great play area. There’s a small area for under 5’s too. Clean and close to the sports bar and Starbucks”
“Amazing place for quality time, relaxation. Great for all the family including the dog! Hot tub was great along with the shower in the woods!”
