“Went to look for a new sofa at Eyers and called in at Poppys for a coffee on the way out. Caught a glimpse of someone else's breakfast and just had to have the same. Have to say it was maybe possibly the best full English I have ever had. Cooked to perfection and fabulous quality. Service was very good and I would definitely recommend to all you full English fans.”

“Best fish n chip shop in worksop. Used them a number of times, also eaten from the others a number of times so i feel i can make a fair comparison. Ordered on a friday night at 7pm, i was expecting a long delivery time because of this. It arrived in 30 mins, which is a good time for friday fish n chips. Chips are good, not greasy. Haddock is nice, flaky fish, crispy batter. Its always the same every time i order, consistency is there. Very good value for money, i didnt even plate up all of the chips(regular size). I have a big appetite and think a small may suffice. Could easily share a regular between two people.”

“Cannot recommend this place enough! Had a wonderful first visit after recieving a gift voucher from a family member and we will 100% be returning. Janine was a fantastic host, really chatty and so friendly, the atmosphere was very welcoming and everyone we encountered was lovely! The food was definitely in its own league, great portion sizes for the tapas, and everything we ordered was delicious! Cocktails were 5/5 we recommend the Rosé Sangria you won't regret it! All in all a beautiful little hidden gem ☺️”

“This was such an amazing find! My partner found this beauty by mistake when we were looking at going out for food at lunch and it was even better than expected! The food was amazing, choice was good (I'm veggy so always a tiny issue at times) and absolutely delicious. The staff couldn't be more welcoming and could not do enough to help. Plus, the view of the planes and the runway was amazing along with earwigging on the members there which was so interesting. We'll definitely be back!”

“We went for an afternoon tea and had a delightful experience. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the decor has a lovely vintage charm. The tea was freshly prepared, beautifully presented and tasted amazing. There was also a great choice of different teas to choose from.”

“Food is fantastic and service is always prompt. There are a couple of improvements I would suggest - the chicken in butter chicken is often quite large strips which I would prefer to see cut up as they can end up a little bland. There have also been a couple of occasions where I haven't been given enough sauce for the naan I have ordered to accompany the curry. Jhinook always offers something extra in place of a free cobra which is something we always appreciate but we would like the opportunity to stick with the offer of free chips as opposed to other sides that seem to be being offered now (we gave a few of these to our dog and last order without them felt less of a family meal). But these are all minor suggestions as we really do love eating here.”

“We owned an award winning fish & chip shop for over 20years and now enjoy being on the other side of the counter. These were the best fish & chips we’ve eaten since we retired two and a half years ago. Very pleasant staff ( Sam & Jason), fish was cooked in a light crisp golden batter and was delicious. “First Breakfast visit , WOW , what a fantastic welcome from every single member of staff on duty 1/11/25 , we came into contact with including chef , it was very obvious it’s a lovely place to work , everyone presented as enjoying work , very friendly, informative , helpful and engaging , the restaurant was lovely and clean , what a lovely cooked breakfast, I had 2 today , the continental choice was lovely and the choice of drinks available puts any other chain to shame . We will definitely be back and we are letting all our friends know we loved our visit. I do hope we won’t be disappointed in future visits, but somehow I don’t think so , well done everyone”

“Wow dont know where some of these reviews are for but not the same place I've been. Been a few times and been lovely so decided to take my service users in the minibus and have a treat. They and staff had different preferences from fish to sausage to pies. All really enjoyed them and ate nearly all. Was well worth the 1.5 hrs round trip. Will defo be going again. Staff were really nice despite throwing 10 orders at them at once. Has for the review about staff eating in the back, if I worked there I'd be having my food onside. Thanks”

“been coming to smithys for years, Food is always amazing, Smithy himself saying that so is his staff are always helpful the portions are great for the price, everything you think of they will make it for you, want a big breakfast bap they got you covered, want a huge sandwich same again! want sunday dinner they got you, iv ordered things off menu and they have made it for me. 100% recommend.”

“Excellent cafe - I come here often as it’s close by and one of the best (if not THE best) cafe in Worksop. Friendly staff, nice modern interior and quality coffees. Only small complaint is that I can’t comment on the food as doesn’t seem to be many vegan options on the menu (none are labelled as such anyway) - just one or two options that are clearly labelled would be really appreciated! Everyone I’ve been with has enjoyed their food though and always looks well presented and freshly made. Can get busy so sometimes waiting a while but it’s worth the wait.”

“The food is absolutely gorgeous, there was barely anyone in (early on a weekday) so we got to choose our table and had quick service. The food was all home cooked really good, not standard pub food at all. Pie was full of meat, gravy was great. The pasta was full of chicken and chorizo, we couldn't finish it all!”
