“This is one of those hidden gems that you will probably have passed a hundred times. One of those shops that specialises so completely that anything you didn't even know you wanted is here. I wanted acrylic eggshell paint to repaint kitchen cabinets and spent hours going to all the big DIY stores. Then I spent 20 minutes in this paint shop getting exactly what I wanted in 20 minutes for much less. They are open 7.30am to 5pm weekdays, and I think 8am to noon Saturday. You can park in their yard or in front, it looks like a house but the shop is round the back. The staff are very helpful and complete experts. And you will note that most of the other customers will be professional painters and decorators. They should have an area that's better lit, possibly with a daylight lamp, for viewing the mass of colour charts with subtle variation in tones. I promise you that you will benefit from the traditional expertise and value.”

“We got our sofas from here recently and honestly, we’re so glad we did. Before ordering we went around six or seven different shops, including all the big-name brands, but this place just felt right. It’s a family-run business with loads of choice, and they can pretty much make or customise a sofa however you want. The staff were really friendly and knew their stuff, and they made it super easy for us to decide without any pressure. The sofas have turned out great - really good quality - and we’re really happy with them. Would definitely recommend giving them a try before going to the big chains.”

We found exactly what we wanted in store and the price was extremely reasonable, and it was nice to talk to a "real person" instead of a "hard Sales person" like you get in the larger nationwide stores. The sofa came with the timescale quoted and was delivered by two lively and super helpful lads, James and Rob. “Review based on one visit. Honestly, I was blow away. The chap behind the bar and the lady organising front of house and kitchen were great. We had never been before. I called ahead, it's Sunday, asked if we could get a table booked and they said it was fine. We arrived soon after and the table was being set up, amazing customer service. They had an amazing quality highchair for our 1 year old too which made the meal time run smoothly. The kids wouldn't have eaten anything off the kids menu (we dont eat meat and they dont particularly eat fishfingers, fussy I know), so we split and adult Cod meal between them and they were fine with that. Food wise, top quality and homecooked, fresh. The cod was absolutly delicious, even better than the sea side. Was some great nostalgia from my childhood to visit a small local pub with good grub. Prices were fair. Good range of soft and alcoholic drinks. The only negative point, would be the lack of baby changing area. Or at least we couldn't find one. But to be honest, we just nipped out and changed our son in the car. No harm. Was great Sunday afteroon. Highly recommended.”

“8/10 thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Spacious rooms with amazing huge beds! Staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was wonderful with lovely views out onto the garden. Very quiet and relaxing atmosphere around the hotel. Perfect for a peaceful stay. Sauna and steam room were great, pool facilities quiet and clean but hot tub was freezing cold. However for the price of £80 which we paid we got free breakfast and a wonderful stay- great value for money. Would reccomend. We will be back soon.”

“Visited the drawbridge tonight for the first time in a few years, We were able to bring the dog too. Where do I start? The welcome was lovely like we are regulars. The food was great, we had a mixture of fish & chips, Tikka curry & salt & chilli dirty fries all cooked perfectly. Would highly recommended and will be coming back.
