“We stopped for dinner at The Bull last night with my elderly and terminally ill greyhound Howard. I told the waitress about Howard and asked if they could bring us a plain sausage for him, fully expecting to pay for this. He loved the sausage. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and the pub quiz in a very relaxed and welcoming environment. At the end of the night I paid the bill and realised they had not charged me for the sausage. This was a lovely caring touch to end what would be Howard’s last night with us. I would personally like to say thank you to the personnel at The Bull for everything. We will definitely be back.”

Friendly people, seemed to have a good following with some local regulars present. A good spot for a summer evening drink and not to far from town. Easy to park the other side of the canal. Will visit here again and would like to explore the area a bit more!”

“Me and my partner visited on Friday morning while we were on holiday in the area, and I think we honestly could have spent all day there! As you walk in, the shop has a great selection of food and gifts, with a lovely seated area in the actual cafe. We sat by the window to take in the view of the river, and of all the birds on the feeders outside. The food was absolutely amazing, and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Already looking for an excuse to revisit!”

Over time I have had skin treatments, facials massages and electrolysis alongside my regular lash extensions mani and pedicures. All of the staff here are lovely and excellent at their jobs. The owner Angela is fantastic and always makes sure that her clients are looked after and happy and it’s always service with a smile. Lucy who does my eyelash extensions is such a perfectionist at everything she does and is such a lovely young lady. Excellently and sympathetically restored interior of the old station buffet, which before these guys was relegated to a dilapidated store room after the buffet was shut by British Rail in the early 1990's or there abouts. Will certainly be back. *hopefully those screens on the bar are taken down soon as you have to go to the side of them anyway to get the beer or speak properly to the bartender :)”

“A Cozy Morning Breakfast. Visited on a snowy morning in 19November24. After driving from Manchester, my partner and I were starving, and this charming spot didn't disappoint. The staff were incredibly friendly, and I was impressed by how quickly our food arrived - definitely the fastest service I've experienced in a cafe.
