Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal, from the starters through to dessert. The atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and spotlessly clean, making it a really pleasant place to spend the evening. What truly stood out, though, was the staff friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming throughout. They made sure everything was perfect without ever being intrusive. “Great atmosphere in an old building in the heart of Sheffield. Huge selection of beers and ciders. We were there on a quiet Monday evening but they still put on live music - a three-piece jazz/blues band. Highly recommend if you're in the city centre and fancy tasting some unusual brews.”

“Great customer service, very attentive and helpfull. The rooms are big, clean and well organized. They offer a spa, swimming pool and many other features. The hotel is very beautiful, its architecture and plant-instalations. The location is amazing, it’s next to a beautiful church and square with a water fountain and water sculptures. You can walk to all needed places : museums, theatre, shopping and restaurants. It’s has a winter garden , a terrace , it’s really amazing place to book. Definitely recommend.”

“We booked Ace Party for our wedding at Peak Edge in August 2024. They were great to deal with and provided crazy golf, carnival games, high striker and a Photo Booth. These activities were fundamental to making the day such a success as our guests were never bored and massively added to the sense of fun. Very hard to imagine a better party equipment rental service is out there as having used them we would now not think of using anybody else.”

The chap behind the bar was keen to tell me about all the beers and the ethos of the place which was interesting. Great NE IPA on keg right now. Next I'm in Mansfield I'll drop in.”

“We stopped here for breatfast on our journey to go biking at sherwood forest. The breakfast was really nice, freshly cooked and a amazing cheap price. We bought some homemade cakes and the kids got to pick some 1p sweets for later in the day. The owners are lovely, they are a village shop/cafe so call in and give them your trade, it was only 6 miles away from the sherwood forest. As they are small they don't have a toliet.”

“OMG, I'm still star struck! I can't believe this happened! The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful, with such unique decor. Gorgeous attention to detail The food is fantastic too, definitely more of a "dirty vegan" experience than a healthy one, which I love. Who doesn't adore a juicy burger? So good! I absolutely loved the satay "chicken" loaded fries, so highly recommend those. The cocktails are also stunning and so well made. I loved the espresso martini. It's made with Guinness, but don't let that put you off! There are lovely views over the river from the restaurant, and it was great to see all the wildflowers. Sadly, there was no sign of the visiting otters. As if that wasn't enough, I was so delighted and shocked to see the owner, Oli Sykes, in there with his family! As much as it killed me, *seriously* killed me, I didn't want to bother him for a selfie as he was enjoying personal time with his family. It just goes to show how good the food must be if he eats there himself! I went on a Sunday and noticed the menu is a bit more limited, which sadly loses them a star for food, but there were still lots of burger and loaded fries options for anyone not wanting the more traditional vegan Sunday roast. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming, which just makes the whole experience even better! I also loved how dog friendly it is. I just loved seeing so many gorgeous pooches being made to feel at home here! Absolutely recommend it!”

“Recently visited for a meal with friends. We didn't stay over on this occasion, but have already planned our next 3 night stay. The food was delicious as always, one friend opted for the pie of the day, declaring it to be " the best pie she had ever eaten" - this echoed the sentiments of my husband on our previous visit. We were able to sit outside in the lovely gardens with our after dinner drinks - a delight not to be missed.
