“A wonderful mixed woodland near to Oakamoor and between Cgeadke and Alton Towers. The site us owned and managed by the National Trust, access is free with plenty of parking at a layby, or in a small dedicated car park about further along the road from Cheadle. A variety of wildlife is on offer if you're lucky enough to see it and walking is medium difficulty with one or two trickier sections dotted about. Rarely more than a handful of people here.”

An excellent and thoroughly professional service from start to finish -finest quality of products used - fantastic workforce from point of sale to completion. “Can’t comment on the rooms as we didn’t stay. We stopped at The Huntsman as we were passing through Cheadle on the way home on a Sunday and were not disappointed. We were greeted warmly by the staff and shown to the lodge with lovely festive decor. The Sunday lunch was a generous size and was delicious! Our children had a wood fired pizza which was equally as delicious. Sad we didn’t get to stay for dessert due to time constraints but would definitely recommend to anyone passing through.”

The presentation of the meals was amazing, and the birthday guests were treated to a lovely surprise cake! A special thank you to the owner, who kindly posted our daughter’s forgotten book back to us — such a thoughtful gesture that really shows how much they care about their customers. We’re so grateful for their kindness and for making our evening such a wonderful experience. We’ll definitely be back soon!”

“Stayed for two nights for a wedding. The girls that run this place are so friendly and nothing is too much for them. One of our friends didn’t make it back to the hotel for breakfast and they offered to keep a plate for her in case she was hungry which was so sweet of them to offer. Our room was very big, it is the basics but can commend them on the how clean and spacious they were and one of the few hotels that give you more than one hanger which was very handy! Breakfast is great, little shorter and earlier than I would prefer but the food quality makes it worth it. The girls are so friendly and so helpful with any questions. We will be back to visit our friends and certainly be staying here again!”

“Got to say been staying at alton towers splash landing hotel and was looking for kebhab and chicken shish.... but most people say go to the cheadle kebhab place but looking at the cheadle kebhab reviews i said na not gonna try this kebhab shop.... instead we got it from BODRUM SHAWARMA and got to say... if your looking to get kebhab/chicken shish get it from BODRUM SHAWARMA there chicken shish is the best ive had around had it yesterday and today and is so nice the chicken shish with the bread they give you is very very nice also kebhab is nice too we got 1 large chicken shish 1 small chicken shish 1 large kebhab 1 small kebhab 2 chips All salad 1 diet coke and it come to £40 that included delivery to splash landing hotel”

The bar staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, engaging in delightful conversation that added a personal touch to our visit. The food was excellent – we tried the sharing platters and were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions and great value. The pub’s Christmas decorations were beautifully done, creating a warm and festive atmosphere that made our experience even more enjoyable. This is easily one of the best Greene King locations we’ve visited locally, and we’ll definitely be returning!”
