“In December I applied for a passport renewal for my child. Queues are insane, but the app is great and it was easy to book an appointment in Scotland and get registered on a queue in London. Due to the fact that my son’s passport due to expire next month - we were prioritised for an additional appointment, which had been organised by the embassy. “At the VFS Global centre in Leith, Edinburgh, long waiting times on the day of their appointment, Even when arriving on time, as only one staff member is usually available to handle a large number of people. While the staff was helpful and efficient, Appointment availability for Italy is very limited, with slots hard to secure even when trying months in advance, while external agents seem able to obtain and sell them more easily. We are asked to provide additional documents not clearly listed on the official website or checklist, which creates last-minute stress. The lack of a nearby photocopying facility (the closest being about a mile away in a library) adds further inconvenience, and using VFS Global’s in-house services for copies or printing can be costly.”

I applied for a visa by post and and the process was 3 days from when I sent it to when I received it. I posted for next day delivered and returned. Posted on a Tuesday and received it back on a Thursday same week. Tell me which other embassy can do that? I once applied by post but did not put in all documents. My documents were sent back including the application fee. Try doing that with the UK embassy or US embassy and see how long it will take to get a reply or if you will see you money. Credit should be given when earned. Well done and carry on with the good job. I am happy for the good job you guys are doing. Improvements will always come at some point. “I emailed for two of us to get a NIE appointment and had a reply the following day with the appointment and the forms and proofs necessary (in English and Spanish). The forms need to be completed in Spanish, which was easy with the help of Google translate. We attended the appointment the following Monday at 9am and we were in and out in under 15 minutes. We just needed one form completed of the ex15 and ex90, one passport copy in black and white, and the fee of about £10 each payable on a card. EXCELLENT service by the two ladies, who both spoke English and Spanish. Four days later my NIE certificate has been reviewed via email. Couldn't have asked for better service. Many thanks”
