“Called into Penny's on the off chance to just have a quick bite and was greeted by 2 ladies who were both pleasant and polite. I ordered the Black Country Breakfast & the wife ordered a sandwich and drink. Both were cooked fresh to order by one of the ladies while the other took the money for the order. As i didnt want Mushrooms on my breakfast the lady cooking asked what i would prefer instead - it seemed nothing could be too much trouble. When the food arrived it was piping hot, fresh and looked appealing. Sausages were not the normal cafe catering sausages but were from a butchers i was told after inquiring, the Bacon was perfect - very little fat and again cooked to my liking. The eggs were cooked to absolute perfection with nice runny yolks and firm whites - not like other local cafe's who's egg whites are like snot. My wife's sandwich looked tasty and served on fresh bread. The cup of tea was made strong - just how i had asked for it. Absolute perfection. Overall a great breakfast from this local place served by 2 ladies who had a joy for what they were doing. Great local cafe and very very good value!!”

“Had a cheese and onion fry with chips and curry sauce. Really lovely food definitely recommend the cheese and onion fry! I had a regular portion of chips and it was a very decent size enough for 2! Girls on the till was a bit quiet but I don’t expect everyone to be chatty. The guy who was cooking the food was absolutely lovely! I’d definitely recommend this chippy and would come back again! They also do gluten free!”

“Five stars all round. Cannot fault anything. Food was incredible, staff were brilliant. No rush, we were allowed to take our time between courses. A group of eleven of us went, we all had different. Starters, mains all came together. Superb place and one we'll go back to.”

“AWESOME PLACE! We had a fantastic experience at The Waterfront Hungry Horse! The food arrived hot, sizzling, and absolutely delicious, full of flavour and clearly cooked with care. The staff were brilliant from start to finish, especially Dee, who was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. The atmosphere was warm and cosy, with plenty of comfortable seating and a great layout that makes it easy to relax and enjoy your meal. It’s the kind of place that instantly makes you feel at home. I genuinely love this place and will definitely be visiting again. Highly recommended!”

“Visited Roti Pani for our sons birthday tonight and couldn't be more impressed. We had previously ordered from here as delivery and the food both as a delivery and in restaurant was consistent. The food is amazing and the service was incredible. The food is also decently priced - the excellent quality of the food you'd expect to pay far more for. The staff couldn't do enough. The restaurant is beautiful inside and there is parking too. They also went out of their way to cater for my youngest who cannot eat spicy food. The staff were attentive despite there being a large group in attendance to. Will definitely be returning! Thank you!”

“Following my visit on Saturday night I was surprised that there are so many negative reviews of this place. Further investigation reveals that some of them look a bit suspect with one even posting a picture of a different Le Raj. I haven't been here for around 25 years, for no reason other than I don't go into this part of Gornal very often and so it got overlooked. It would have been again but for Google. I chose it because it was thankfully air conditioned, offered BYOB as well licensed, local and the parking is not too bad either. We had a good time here, the staff are very friendly and the service attentive. The atmosphere was good too, quite busy and very much a locals place but having survived so long given the size of Gornal is testament to them. There was one overly loud table but there usually is. The mandatory (for us) poppadoms and chutney tray were nice, unusually featuring a tamarind dip, I guess mango chutney could be available if requested. We went straight into the mains which we really enjoyed, I had a very flavoursome Syleti Bhuna and the wife had an equally tasty balti which she said was 'gorgeous'. Both were very large portions but the chicken and chicken tikka in each was a fraction dry. The sides were very good, especially and unusually, so were the chips. The prices are reasonable with the specials at around £10.50. We won't be leaving it too long until our next visit.”

“First time we have ordered from Golden house normally if we order Chinese food we have curry each with fried rice and a portion of mushrooms to share. Curry and rice beautifully cooked generous portions including mushrooms in curry actually didn't need extra mushrooms however these were again beautifully cooked with vegetables as well. Will definitely order from here again and would recommend”

“I ordered takeaway therefore can not review the atmosphere and service. I am only writing this review to let you guys know that the food from here is perfect. I had an egg fried rice, plain naan, paneer tikka masala, chicken tikka masala and fried salmon. Every dish was perfect. Fast delivery and also bonus they gave us pompadours with mint sauce and salad. If you are hesitant, dont be, order here or go to the restaurant in person.”

“Been visiting and ordering from here for about 12 months now. Kebabs and Burgers are consistently good, the pizzas are amazing. A good value selection of set menus. Service is quick both in the shop and when ordered online. The only negative I have is the fries, they rarely seem hot”

“What a restaurant! If your in the area and appreciate amazing food look no further! We Started with Fresh poppadoms with very tasty Dips and onion salad whilst pondering over a lovely menu which is a Set 2 courses priced at £35 including rice or Naan. For Starters we chose, Vegtable Pakora, Paneer Tikka and Masala Fish, perfectly presented with amazing flavours. Then for mains the Chef asked me if I’d fancy trying something slightly different from the menu as he had been slow cooking some lamb shanks in spices for a few hours. How could I resist? And what great decision it was ! My son went for the ‘Bilash Super’ , My wife chose Aloo Gobi Masala and we shared Saffron rice and delicious Garlic naans. The food was mind blowing! All washed down with a few Cobras and a bottle of wine we Finished off with a very refreshing Cheesecake accompanied with fresh fruit and mango sauce. Just Perfect ! “Great food and reasonable prices. Red hot wings 10/10, fries are excellent but would go for less salt. The sauces are amazing!! "We Meat Again Burger" was not my favourite. Peppercorn Pile Up and Big Boss Man Burger are really good. Halal food. Definitely recommended.”
