Unfortunately we required the use of Vets Now on Christmas Day. We were welcomed by Paige who offered lots of reassurance. We then saw Gonçalo who had excellent ‘bedside’ manner despite our dog being quite nervous. He also could tell we were anxious about any prognosis so also treated us with empathy and compassion to what was happening. Everything was explained thoroughly, our dog was treated with extreme care and attention. Over the 24hrs he was with VetsNow we were kept updated and nothing was too much trouble. Thankfully he’s now on the mend. Big thanks to Gonçalo, Paige, Rebecca and Jacqueline and anybody else involved in the care of our boy who is now recovering at home. Always a scary experience, but not being in our hometown let alone own vets added to this but the service was exceptional and I’d definitely recommend! Building is brand new and clean with lots of rooms and modern facilities.

Just want to say a massive thank you to vets now for saving our baby boy milo. Milo was admitted four days ago due to vomiting and we later found out that milo had intusucception. Goncalco was amazing and extremely respectful especially delivering realistic expectations which every vet has to do. He was extremely amazing at phoning me and keeping me updated with real facts even if it meant being woken up at night. He made all the right clinical judgements and went through them with me in so much detail. Initially we were going to keep milo to be monitored over night and then transfer milo to his primary practise to get his surgery, but he deteriorated overnight and Goncalco made the right call to have his surgery done right then and there and i am so glad he did. I believe that decision saved my babies life. Sadly after that milo’s recovery went down hill as he had suspected septic peritonitis. Reading the clinical notes i am so amazed at all the actions the vet now team took, like increasing his dose of his blood pressure raising IV at the right times. We genuinely thought he wasn’t going to survive but reading the notes and seeing how much effort they put in into making milo stable just makes me so grateful to be put in the hands of a team who you can tell are genuinely passionate about pets. Also i heard that he was keeping up on milo through his team chat whilst he was away from work and it just makes me feel amazing how loved my boy is by everyone. Following the next day we made the decision to keep him at the pdsa whilst vet now we’re closed, and milo did a full 180, and i believe it’s because of the intensive care he had over night, we truly weren’t expecting it! Clio called us and informed us and she was also so respectful at delivering this news whilst also respectfully informing us we were out of the woods yet. When visiting milo he genuinely had done a full 180 and compared to the day before where he couldn’t even blink, he was jumping out of his cage when he saw us. Rebecca the VNE, made the call to keep him in another night and i’m glad we did, we’ve just collected him and i just cannot believe how bright my boy is, it’s something i never truly expected and i was so ready to say goodbye forever. Also massive props to the receptionist Malaika who we saw throughout the 4 days through so many different emotional states, super kind and very understanding. I cannot express my gratitude and how amazed i am by this veterinary hospital, another thing i see is a lot of people complaining about costs which is totally understandable but just remember this is an out of hours practise which is so much more expensive to run, but honestly the way they monitor your pet overnight and respond to any decline appropriately is just amazing, i was told the vets are ECC trained and you can honestly tell. Thank you will never be enough, but i’m just so so so pleased with vets now.

I am writing to formally raise a concern about the service I received during an emergency visit to your clinic on Saturday evening. I attended with my 11-month-old dog, Bruno, whose eye had become sore, swollen and completely closed. As advised by an online vet, I brought him to emergency care in case it was an ulcer, which can be a serious condition. Naturally, I was anxious, and my younger brother accompanied me for support. Upon arrival, the receptionist was warm, friendly, and reassuring, which I greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, my experience with the attending vet was the complete opposite. Despite it being clear that I was Bruno’s owner, the vet directed almost all conversation toward my younger brother. This made me feel dismissed. Additionally, the vet showed very little empathy toward Bruno, who was clearly stressed. His breathing became very heavy and fast, he was very stressed, yet the vet made no effort to comfort him, slow down the examination, or offer any reassurance. There were no other patients waiting, so there did not appear to be any time pressure that might explain the vet’s hurried manner. The overall approach felt uncaring, which was upsetting, especially in an emergency setting where compassion and communication are vital. I am raising this issue because I do not want anyone else to experience what I did. Emergency veterinary care is already stressful for owners and their pets, and the lack of empathy I encountered made an already stressful situation far worse. I would appreciate your looking into this matter and ensuring it is addressed appropriately. I would also welcome a response outlining how this concern will be handled.

I visited this morning at 2.30 am as my dog was suffering with an extreme allergic reaction to something, swelling fast and covered in hives. He has addisons disease and the vet knew all about addisons giving me immediate confidence. I rang them and the vet kept me calm over the phone and explained what to do. I drove there and they were waiting for me. They worked quickly and efficiently but kept reassuring me and showed really kindness to me and ny dog, and I have no doubt they saved my dogs life. He's still recovering but he's here and improving by the hour. Thank you will never be enough.

My telephone call was answered promptly and helpfully, the appointment made immediately. This was followed up by a confirmation along with details of how to find the vets. The whole area was spotlessly clean, everyone was exceptionally helpful and friendly and the vet, Clio was outstanding. She examined our dog so carefully and explained so clearly what she was finding and the treatment needed. She cared. If we had 10 stars to award them then they would get that score.

I visited vets now as an emergency. I cannot thank them enough for the treatment they provided to my fur baby Ares. They worked quickly but thoroughly to check him properly and diagnose his condition. They kept me informed at every point and supported me to make the hardest decisions that I have had to make. Sadly there was no treatment option for him and he passed but they ensure this was as pain free as possible. I’ll never forget how they looked after my boy and supported me through the most difficult process. The staff showed enormous empathy towards me and my dog and I can’t thank them enough. They came through in our hour of need and I can’t thank them enough. ❤️❤️

The VET was brilliant, but the wait was painful. Somebody on benefits decided to feed their dog a contaminant and jump the queue, even though the vet said don't come in and the containment will pass (I heard the receptionist consult with the aforementioned ingrate). As they say there is an endless demand for 'free services' (from the PDSA, who share the building). I paid and waited many, many hours. Thats socialism for you.

We received the most superb care and attention for our dog Alfie. We were also treated with kindness and understanding which meant a lot. Regular calls with updates and even a photo! They saved Alfies life.
