“My dog was referred here a few months ago, as she needed emergency surgery on her back. However, another out of hours vet practice who I saw less than 24 hours before, told me she was nowhere near needing surgery. Now, that's not very good and is being looked into. The care given here was excellent, the operation went well and she was looked after for a few days. Then home for some TLC, after several weeks of crate rest and a follow up visit, she is doing really well. My wife, myself and Mabel are extremely grateful to all of the staff here.”

“Miriam is the BEST ever. I have taken 3 of my dogs to this vets & I love them. Charlotte is also wonderful. Miriam saved our rescue dogs life. Gave empathetic advice regarding one of our old dogs, who sadly had to go to heaven & operated on our pug who sadly lost an eye. All with amazing care & after care. Miriam is an angel in disguise. The majority of the team here are wonderful & kind, caring and compassionate.”

“First time using this vets as I usually use the Hykham one... The staff have been above and beyond helpful. The vet took the time to answer my questions and give me lots of helpful information. She took the time needed with my skittish Cat and tried not to stress him further while talking to him. She answered some questions about a new pet I am intending to register, and very helpful answers to both neutering and bonding. The staff out front where really helpful with extra advice about calming plugins and sprays and advice on calming tablets for a future stressful event. The vets practice has a disabled accessible door with no steps. Inside is clean, tidy and welcoming with animals separated on different sides of the waiting area. Overall a fantastic visit. Polite, kind, welcoming staff who are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Thanks!”

“We have used the Kirkby branch of Vets for Pets for 5 years and wouldn’t go elsewhere. The staff are always polite, and each visit feels like they really know our cats. One of our cats needs regular check ups and medication, the vets and nurses he sees go out of their way to make sure he is calm and comfortable, and always explain things to us thoroughly. Appointments are easy to make and the reception staff will are happy to find something that will work for your schedule. Ordering medication is also really simple with a quick call and a collection.”

“Have been coming here 4/5 years with my rats and they have always been amazing and knowledgeable, laura and rob are both amazing with rats and there are more than one exotics knowledgeable vet nurses on the staff. Theyve always done their best to keep their costs down for me and the out of hours workers also always try their best with what they can.”

“Always fantastic service and looked after all my pets over the years but just this bank holiday my dog needed a blood test and I got a call 8pm Saturday night to say he needed some tablets ASAP and mr Owen was at the surgery and we could go and get them,He’d gone in just to see if our results were back. I will be eternally grateful for the excellent service we always receive and it will be a very sad time when mr Owen retires xx”

The ladies were lovely - receptionist, nurses and the vet were so kind, cleaned and treated his injuries then arranged a place for him at a wildlife sanctuary. They could not have done more. “Today I had the most amazing experience with The pet vet Bilborough. I brought my very nervous nala to have her teeth done and they went above and beyond to accommodate her, allowed me to sit with her pre and post op to keep her calm and relaxed, constantly had the team checking on us. the vets and nurses were so good with her, getting on her level and letting her take her time to come to them and did not rush her. I could not of asked for a better experience. every single member of staff i interacted with was so lovely and friendly and they seemed genuinely supportive of nala and wanted the same care and experience for her that I as her owner would want. I came here due to the dental offer but will definitely be moving here and highly recommend. i’ve been to a few vets now and have never found they understand nervous dogs or want the genuine best thing for the animal but these guys definitely do treat them as their own. thank you so much guys ❤️”

“Unfortunately we required the use of Vets Now on Christmas Day. We were welcomed by Paige who offered lots of reassurance. We then saw Gonçalo who had excellent ‘bedside’ manner despite our dog being quite nervous. He also could tell we were anxious about any prognosis so also treated us with empathy and compassion to what was happening. Everything was explained thoroughly, our dog was treated with extreme care and attention. Over the 24hrs he was with VetsNow we were kept updated and nothing was too much trouble. Thankfully he’s now on the mend. Big thanks to Gonçalo, Paige, Rebecca and Jacqueline and anybody else involved in the care of our boy who is now recovering at home. Always a scary experience, but not being in our hometown let alone own vets added to this but the service was exceptional and I’d definitely recommend! Building is brand new and clean with lots of rooms and modern facilities.”

“It's taken me a while to get to writing this because it still makes me feel sad to think of it to be honest, but this practice is wonderful. Before Christmas, we were referred with Cookie to Jonathan. Although it didn't work out, I can honestly say that I know Jonathan did everything possible for her. Beyond that, I was always given the impression that Jonathan had the warmest, deepest caring attitude to not only my pet, but to each pet that I observed going in and out during my visits, which I think is all anybody could ask for. The staff at the front of the practice were always friendly and helpful too. So although it didn't work out for us, I could not have expected, nor asked for any more from this practice.
