   Hi we have always been happy with mcphersons practice and they take notice of owners aswell as the animals my grandson had a staffie called Charlie who suddenly got taken really poorly a few grand l8r nothing more could be done n had to be pts my grandson was so heartbroken it affected the staff to see him like that if that's not caring I dont know what is he's now got a little jack Russell who had his first consultation yesterday n the vet could remember him n Charlie very well n how they were all affected ty to mcphersons for looking after our pooches we wouldn't go anywhere else merry Christmas everyone x

   Mcphersons veterinary practice go above and beyond when caring for your beloved pet. They are obviously animal lovers and do they utmost to get the best treatment plan and they are always upfront with any costs involved. Kirsty is amazing and I cannot thank her enough for all the time she has dedicated to helping my dog to recover from a life threatening condition.

   Yesterday we took our elderly dog to mcphersons vets expecting for him to be his final journey there knowing I'm our heart of hearts that he needed to be put down. Initially the visit went as expected . A good explanation and backing up our thoughts on his condition. We decided to go ahead and have him put to sleep. We were left alone a few miniutesto say our goodbyes. And to call when ready. When the vet came in she brought with her a card machine and whilst our dog was still on the table before doing the deed she started discussing the costs of the euthanasia and what did we want to do with his body then going on to quote for his cremation and the costs.... all this before she put him to sleep. And we were obliged to pay up front before she did this task. Obviously we paid in full as required but both my wife and I thought this was very crass and non sympathetic. Very poor timing it made the visit to the vets more about money and nothing about care. Over the past 15 years we have lost dogs to old age and gone through this procedure before and on each time we were allowed to go back and pay the vets a couple of days later, when we had the opportunity to grieve....sorry I can only say the service at this vets has gone down hill since Mr mcphearson has taken a back seat....disappointed and disgusted in how we were treated.....won't be using them again.

   As a family we are very fortunate to have McPhersons looking after our pet dog. They are have always provided a very caring and compassionate service and I would certainly recommend them. They have looked after our dog since she was a pup and continue to care for her in her old age.

   Had 3 different dogs registered here over the years, and each dog has been treated with love, care and compassion, from the bolshy staffy to the tiny Mini dachshund, each pet treated with respect and knowledge for their breed and temperament.

   The vet dealt with our cat very calmly and efficiently. Usually she is extremely nervous but he gave her booster and then clipped her claws quickly and with no fuss. Poppy did not get upset at all. Very pleased with the service. Would definitely recommend.
