We prebooked a table for three, always a good idea at this venue given its popularity. This family owned and run pub is absolutely fabulous. The owners and their team clearly work hard to maintain the venue to a very high standard. Cleanliness is always spot on, you wont see untidy tables or poorly maintained cutlery here. Weve been here a numbered of times and each and everytime we have been greeted with a warm welcoming smile ,as well as first class attentive service throughout our visit. As for the food all i can say is WOW. The food here is always first class. From a value for money point of view, youd be hard pressed to find another venue this good anywhere in East Yorkshire. Meal sizes are generous to say the least, and the food is clearly always prepared, cooked and presented to a very high standard. If you are looking for a lovely venue where you can be assured of quality food and service then id say book now. Trust me you wont be disappointed.

We stayed here on 29th/30th October 2025. Our room was very clean, tidy, warm and the bed extremely comfortable. The meals on offer during the day are a Coeliacs delight, one of which is a G/F homemade steak pie with a gorgeous crust(best I've ever tasted) with plenty of other choices for both Coeliacs & non- Coeliacs, well looked & well presented. Breakfast is cooked to order & was great, local produce is used whenever possible. The staff are very welcoming & attentive, couldn't do enough for us. The dining room was busy, always a sign of good food, so you may need to book a table. Just remember this 2* rated, for us it could be more just on the service given, we would stay again without any hesitation. Thank you to all the lovely staff. J. S. C. & H. D. W.

There was a welcoming Atmosphere when we arrived. We were welcomed by the staff immediately when doors opened. The pub had a pleasant and warm environment. The food was excellent with generous portions.. We didn’t stay at the accommodation but would have gladly stayed as it is near a number of popular venues. There is a large carpark and free of charge.

Just been for the first time, will definitely be back. Amazing steak pie all home made and packed with beef that melted in the mouth! Great idea to have smaller portions available for some dishes. Place was warm, friendly and clean. Really good value for money, I've paid more locally for much less quality.

We had food at the Railway Inn and it was lovely. The staff are amazing and the atmosphere is welcoming. The restaurant is kept clean and tidy to a high level. I'm very impressed with the whole experience. I have not stayed in the guest rooms so can't comment about those. But if the restaurant has anything to go by they'll be great too.

Just had a Christmas lunch for 17 and absolutely so impressed with everything - from the excellent friendly staff who couldn't do enough to make sure everything was perfect to the beautiful food and presentation. The table looked lovely and so welcoming. The restaurant was stunning and so Christmassy. Totally impressed with every detail. Thank you to everyone at The Railway Inn for making our Christmas lunch such a memorable occasion. Highly recommend!

Visited in June 2022 I was over from Canada and stayed at the Railway Inn, had dinner and breakfast there today. I very well run Inn and the food was and always is amazing. For dinner I had the fish and chips (a must when in England) and it was one of the best fish and chips I had. The room was very nice, and very comfortable. It was clean. Perfect for a one night stay. I will always visit the Railway Inn when I come over to England from Canada. Keep up the great work!

Lovely venue, was expecting a little cosy pub but much more than that, food was delicious when we finally got it!! That was the only letdown, waited 55minutes for my husband's birthday meal. Not sure if it was just because they were busy but we weren't told there was a delay on food as we ordered but despite that little setback, nice place, good food so will go again .
