“Cody is a legend. He made me a focaccia sandwich. I asked him to surprise me with the contents and he did not disappoint! With spicy salami, dried tomatoes, mayo and cheese, it was delicious. I didn't take a picture because I ate it before I could look for my phone and I'm not sorry, it was so worth it.”

“This is by far the best Mexican I've ever had in the UK. Everything, down to the decorations is authentic. The food is out of this world, the right amount of spice and all the flavour. My partner is mexican and felt so at home here. I had the tacos, nachos and chocolate cake and would definitely be back for more. The staff are so friendly and sweet, not overbearing just normal. The decor feels like a real mexican restaurant. I wish I could give more stars. The owners even gave us some of their homemade ribs that were to die for. Just amazing!❤️ Do yourself a favour and come here !!!”

“Grew up here in the 1990s, and was the family favourite. Decades later me and my brother frequent here when we get together and still the best. Just not local to us. But the curry is by far outstanding amazing flavour tasty delicious as is the other foods, chowmein, sides etc. Bit oily but can tell they make thier own sauce, very nice, just like we remember it and have had a few times over the past few years. Best by far by miles. My brother comes from down south always looking forward to a New City as do I.”

“Realised I have not yet left a review for The Bear! This is a nice place to come for food, drinks and just relax. When working from home often causes a need to escape the house, can always find plug sockets for laptops, phones etc and the WiFi is spot on too for everything could possibly need. WiFi - 55.6Mbps download / 42.1Mbps upload speed according to Speedtest for my visit today at around 5pm. Drinks - Always served cold and fresh. Even when gets busy, do not have to wait long at the bar. When working and need to crack on - the app ordering is perfect too. No problems at all! Food - Spot on. I tend to go for the "Chick N Mix" for £8.79! Check the photo, its great. Lots of food, hot, fresh and tasty. Highly recommended! Staff - Thank you everyone here for your great service, it really is appreciated to be able to have a friendly chat when often come solo. From the warm welcome at the bar, and to bringing the orders to the table is fantastic, will keep returning for as long as continues! Atmosphere - Its a local sort of pub, but welcoming of everyone. Music as just the right level, pool tables, poker tables on some nights and quiz. A Gem of Bearwood! Only one suggestion for improvement... There is a lot vandalism on the wall in the gents toilets.... How about paint the section in front of the urinals with chalk board paint, and leave some chalks to use on it? Would cost very little and solve the graffiti by "allowing" it. Just a thought, a banter wall - hope you consider it :) Interesting point to note for those local and not... look up at the clock on the top. Only when doing this review today I noticed that there are bears all around it. The things you miss for all the years living around here until come to look closely. Conclusion: Highly recommend this place to anyone for drinks and food! 5* all round.”

“Greeted as we arrived, ordered food and coffee both being delivered to our table. The food was very nicely presented and well cooked. Even vegetarians should try this bacon!!! Doggy treats and water readily available.”

“This was our second visit to Ama restaurant. This place is amazing, We ordered the full lamb for 10 seatings.. The taste was absolutely beautiful and tender. My guests were totally impressed by the food and service and surroundings. This place is very highly recommended. Do book in advance as the restaurant got very busy. “Great pub this! Every Saturday they have a multi instrumentalist/singer who goes by the name of 10 Guitars (check him out on spotify/youtube, he's bloody brilliant!) who performs cover songs from a wide range of genres and decades whilst switching between different instruments and on Saturdays the same guy hosts a very entertaining karaoke night! Beer is great and doesnt break the bank either!!!”

“Went on a Thursday evening to the Red cow. Thought the worst as there was 1 table occupied by diners. How wrong we were! We went for the ‘fat cow’ chilli chips, masala chips, lollipop chicken, chilli lollipops and 3 naans. We asked for the chips and naans to be upgraded on the fat cow as it only comes with plain but it was lost in translation so we got 3 plain naans and 2 chips additional to what we wanted. The fat cow grill itself was sensational. Lamb chops - great taste, perfect amount of charring. All the chicken was juicy and full of flavour. Fish pakora - nice light batter, lots of meaty fish. The chilli chips were unreal, so so good! Definitely recommend them with the chilli lollipops. Certainly no scrimping on the portions! The only slight criticism is the grill wasn’t sizzling when it came out but it was on a oven tray as it was so big! It says on the menu it serves 8-10, there was 5 of us and we were all stuffed. Would definitely go back, be great to go when it’s busy. One of the best mixed grills we’ve all had, up there with Champys, new hen and chickens etc. Update… we went back for our Xmas mixy, again quiet inside in the dining area but the mixy was first class. Had the £42 fat cow again. Was 6 of us, with 2 cobras to top it off we were all stuffed. The chilli chips and chilli lollipop are a must. Chips are battered and covered in chilli sauce…. Unbeatable! Football was on prime too! Thanks red cow for rounding off this year with a class mixy!”
