“Great if you like an old style pub. It's for anyone that likes to check out a great selection of craft ales. Food consisted of a selection of cobs. We had amply filled cheese and onion. Very tasty. Very friendly and obliging staff.”

“First time at The Old Bank House, came here for ciders as it showed up on the Realale finder App, they had 10 ciders on ! Really friendly welcome from the owners, it has lots of very nice rooms all decorated nicely with chandeliers and arm chairs. Highly recommended, will definitely com back again”

She was handling multiple tables and customers with ease, like an octopus with eight arms, yet still managed to make us feel looked after. She even offered water for our dog, which was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel truly welcome. The food was excellent, and the coffee hit the spot perfectly. We couldn’t fault anything. The atmosphere was relaxed, cosy, and dog-friendly, everything you’d want from a local café. We’d come back here a thousand times. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Tamworth!”

“We did Tamworth Castle Grounds parkrun on Saturday. This lovely little cafe is just by the start/finish which had a roaring open fire burning inside. Unfortunately, it is quite small so we had to sit outside to enjoy our breakfast as not enough seating for our sizable group (but we did keep popping into to stand by the fire and warm out hands and smell the wood smoke!) Great value breakfast, and loved that you could have mushrooms on your bacaon or sausage sandwich, often not an option. “In the franchise Mrs Kyndley is just a woman who lives next to Thomas' branchline, She dosen't own a tea room, however I guess she has a refreshment stall in the Great Race (a film that came out a while after)”

“We had a good experience at The Penny Black in Tamworth! After an afternoon of shopping, we popped in for a bite to eat and easily found a table and were quickly served at the bar. We enjoyed watching the football game while savoring two rare steaks cooked perfectly, a mixed grill, and three delicious fudge cakes. The food was served promptly and tasted great. I recommend this place for good food and efficient service.”
