“I have just completed an RYA 2 day level 1 sailing course at this club. What a fantastic bunch of the most friendly and welcoming people you could wish to meet. I had never sailed before and wanted to "dip my toe" in the water of this wonderful hobby/sport. The majortiy of the course is on the water giving you the most opportunity to practice your new skill. James, (my trainer) remained very calm and re-assuring, even when mistakes were made (of which I made many). God knows how! The words "Fist Bump" and "Zen" are now embedded in my brain.....cheers James! Plenty of breaks throughout the day to chat to other new sailors and members and enjoy hot drinks, toast, home made cakes and sausage rolls. On the last session of the 2 day training, we were set free without our trainers to put into practice what we had learnt, with a motorised safety boat keeping a watchful eye in case of any difficulties etc. All in all, a fantasic couple of days with some wondeful people. If you fancy trying sailing for yourself, I could not recommend this club highly enough. Cheers All!”
