“I am extremely grateful to Peacock Heating. Des fitted a combi boiler in my dad's house. My dad had recently come out of hospital to find his old central heating system completely broken. Des came out quickly and spent time explaining things to my dad. His quote was extremely competitive and he kindly agreed to fit the boiler as soon as possible ( within 10 days). He arrived lon time and completed the work in 1 day ( other companies had not only quoted higher prices but had said the work would take 3-5 days). Des spent time explaining how to use the new system to my dad. He left the house in a clean and tidy state. My father was very pleased with the finished product and finds it easy to use. I have been incredibly impressed with Peacock Heating from start to finish. Des is a total professional and clearly knows what he's doing! I loved that he sent a message and a link to track him on the day of the fitting so we would know exactly when he would arrive.This message came with his picture so that my father would be able to safely let him into the property. These little touches show how thoughtful and understanding Des is. I would (and will be) recommend him to anyone. He is excellent!!”

“Over christmas 2025 my boiler stopped working. Gastek came out, diagnosed the issue. It was time for the boiler to go into permanent retirement, they just couldn't go on any longer. Wasn't really ready for that scenario, but had to respect their wishes and that it was time to say goodbye old friend you served us well. A replacement was sourced through gastek (bearing in mind this is the christmas shut down period) and within 2 days we had a new boiler installed by the gastek engineers. Just in time for the minus temperatures that hit us new years eve 2025. Gastek do take care of you. No matter what time of year it happens to be.”

“I had an issue with my old boiler and Martyn came round to have a look. He did something to it and told me it be fine for a while longer. He didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need at the time and because of this I had trust in him. About a year later my boiler finally broke so I contacted Martyn again. They gave me a quote for a new boiler and arranged for when it could be installed. Stefan arrived on-time on the Saturday morning and promptly got to work. He was a nice bloke and very tidy! I've had the boiler for about 6 weeks now and it all seems fine. I would recommend this company because I am pleased with the work and communication before and after installation was great. I will also be booking them to do my yearly boiler inspections.”

“What an incredible warm welcoming super helpful shop. The team here has been wonderful and super helpful as long as I can remember (I turn 30 in two months), the shop has never failed to not have something I need, they pretty much have everything in there and 9 times out of 10 multiple options to choose from suiting all budgets. The key thing for me is the Team, everyone there is a delight and always super helpful, it's more than a shop and I love that I have such a great relationship with a homely place and homely people. For years they've dropped off birdseed to my Nan's home and I am more than grateful for that! Firstly a shout out to Lak, what a legend, we've seen each other grow and evolve over the years :) I'd also love to give a shout out to Sunny and Ronnie! These two guys are great! Always there and happy to help and such lovely great energy! There's never been a time I've left feeling unfulfilled or like I don't have what I need to continue forward with what ever it may be. Any project or thing that I've wanted to do (especially getting things to make my Nan's garden lovelier) A D L Homestore has it, and these two will always find what I need if I cannot find it myself. Also, I've been impressed several times how they seem to know where everything is, with the amount of stuff in the store it seems impossible to know where everything is, but they do! There aren't enough words to express my humble loving kind vibes towards everyone involved that is part of the team, I hope they continue for as long as I do, they're a staple for the community and honestly it is the best hardware store I've ever came across, not only do the have everything, it is all more than reasonably priced. They've even stored my watch batteries, my watch links, they've even done me several key cuts and they always work perfectly, never had any issues! Thank you again guys, blessings to the entire team, it's wonderful to have grown up with you's there, life wouldn't be the same without you all and what you do for the community. Staff at this location have worked here for years so I think that the manager must be running a nice working environment for them or we would see staff changes as we do at some other stores .”
