Takeaway dining in Lichfield

“I contacted The Bengal Inidan Restaurant with query about a Christmas work buffet. The were very responsive, polite and answered queries regarding dietary requirements. We discussed various options and decided on a starter buffet. On collection day they were very helpful directing us to their car park and loading items into our car. The food came in lovely large sturdy foil containers and we actually received a few more items than ordered. The buffet was a resounding success, very postive comments on the items, the onion bhaji's were delicious and a favourite. With past sandwich buffets there was always sandwiches left but this year everything was cleared up. We would definitely recommend The Bengal and hope to use them again in the future. Thank you”

“The Lombard Chinese takeaway has become Lichfield's leading Chinese takeaway. The Staff are so bubbly on the phone during ordering, also on collection. The food itself is intense in flavour throughout the individual dishes. The curry is so rich in flavour. Tonight's dish for me was Singapore Fried rice, and Hot and Spicy chips and curry sauce, as shown in my image. I don't have to say to much more, as the picture of the dish speaks for itself. I would highly recommend the Lombard, if you come across my review, definitely worth every penny enjoy!”

“I hadn’t used this place for years, I decided to grab my partner and myself a chow mien on Monday night. Me being a fussy so and so requested no prawns in my mixed chow mien. Sadly when I got home I unfortunately had prawns in my dish, at the time it was very disappointed but I called back and requested it was replaced. It was not convenient to replace at the time but two nights later I called and the lovely member of staff honoured her promise and replaced my meal. My partner had a veg chow mien, I had a mixed meat chow mien with curry sauce and we were both very impressed. When in Lichfield I would certainly use again!”

“We hired the private dining room at The Boat for my Mum’s 60th birthday meal. We all had a Sunday roast with starter and dessert. From the initial email booking enquiry with Mitchell, right through to the end of the big day everything was exceptional. The service was super attentive and friendly, the food was delicious and creative, and we enjoyed pre and post meal drinks in their beautiful and sunny garden. I would not hesitate to go back there again for a special occasion or a date night treat. Big thanks to all the staff for making my Mum’s birthday extra special.”

“The food was absolutely delicious, we came for my partners parents birthdays/retirement dinner. I had the crab arancini and was absolutely blown away, I can confidently say it was the best arancini I’ve ever had. The filet steak was superb, as a chef myself, it was cooked to perfection. Sadly I only snapped two photos of the food I had however, the pizzas are incredibly big and fresh! No complaints from the nine of us dined together. The liquor “safe” has an exquisite range and honestly wish I lived locally as I’d visit weekly!”

“We’ve eaten here loads of time, most recently last night for my daughter’s birthday. The staff are always very good, particularly good last night we thought. The food is reasonably priced and of a good quality. You can get different discounts through their app as well so that’s worth downloading. The drinks are quite expensive, £3.95 for a can of coke, but it’s like that most places these days unfortunately! Will be back again soon.”

“Tried this place for the first time. Ordered online and collected in the allotted time. We were very pleased with the quality of the food. It wasn't greasy and didn't get that horrible full up feeling afterwards. Tbh the crispy shredded chilli beef was the best we've ever had. Every piece was crispy and stayed crispy. Everthing was very tasty. Would definitely recommend. One thing I would say is the crispy duck could do with more spring onion and sauce as you get loads of pancakes and duck. The ratios seem a bit out.”
