“Just a last minute decision to go out, and saw this place As soon as we walked through the door we were welcomed and the staff were so attentive. Great choice of dishes to suit all tastes. The food is freshly cooked and served hot in stainless steel puts with lids to keep them warm. They do not serve alcohol, but I can recommend the mango lassie, great flavour. All in all a pleasant experience, and we would go again.”

“Absolutely delicious food and cosy atmosphere!! I've eaten here about 5-6 times over the past 2 years and each and every time the food has been faultless. People who know me know I wouldn't say that if I didn't mean it. I went last night as I heard they'd had a menu change and it did not disappoint. We had the Peppered Chicken and Chicken Parmesan, both served with an abundance of yummy side dishes (fries, roast new potatoes, dressed salad and seasonal vegetables). The warm cookie dessert is amazing. I could eat it just on its own with a lovely coffee (which they also do) i.e without the sauce or ice cream. It's everything you want in a cookie. Crunchy on the outside and gooey in the middle. They've had all their chairs reupholstered recently so it's looking a lot smarter than before making the vibe extra cosy. If you're planning a visit, make sure you book not to be disappointed as it does get very busy for food. Great selection of drinks too. 10/10”

“We have used this take away every few weeks for over 20 years and have always been very happy with the quality of the food, though some times the food is exceptionally fresh tasting but it never drop below very good. Then it appears there has been a change of ownership and there was a wobble! We had a take-away about 6 weeks ago, and the portion size was smaller, the food was a bit bland and they failed to cook all the dishes we ordered and even argued they had only changed us for the dishes we had. This was not true! So a third trip to the shop and we were refunded the cost of the dish they failed to cook but said they had not charged us for! Not a great introduction. Anyway, this week we gave them a second chance and they excelled, sort of! The food was once again fresh and tasty though the chicken satay and the Szechuan beef could have done with being a bit spicier! The duck was cooked to perfection as were the prawns Everything else with the food was fine. A decent portion, well cooked and presented. But the big negative: why not be honest with your wait times? They do themselves more harm by not being honest with wait times. Telling someone it will be 20 mins when it will be at least 40 mins is not helpful! We had to go back twice as our meal was not ready the first time when we arrived at the time they said it would be ready! I don't think they would lose business by telling the truth about how long it will take to cook. I think they will lose business by giving people unrealistic expectations of when their order will be ready!”

“Been a couple of times for a butty and a brew and its spot on for what it is. Its a standard cafe, no gimmicks or silly named coffees served in vases, decent food/portions and a really fair price. Will go again.”

“Well after being messed around by m and s call centre telling me misleading info . By the time we got to exchange some holiday money I was positively at the end of my rope. Any way enough bad here's the good . Money exchange with Connie cupcake she saw I was not a happy bunny she assured me this can happen even though it was nearly closing . Great attitude great customer service from Connie . Honestly this girl is such a people person she needs to be heading up the happy team at m and s so bubbly funny and honest she turned a mare of a day into pure joy. Thanks Connie what an exciting experience we had with you . 10/10.”

“This is a great little pub, but unfortunately there is no hand pulled beer here. No food is served here. The staff are very friendly. Great night out at the weekend. A new 'turn' every Saturday night. I attended a birthday party have recently and it also makes a great venue for small to medium sized groups.”

“Cooked to perfection ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Very polite and professional team members taking the orders. The food was unreal, by far the best spicy donner I’ve had. You can taste the quality of the food and the experience of the chefs in every bite. I went for the mixed donner which was unreal. I ordered there watermelon mocktail, which i highly recommend you try also. Would definitely recommend you try Woodys.”

“My first time trying the Bankhouse since it reopened! Beautiful views, really fresh food and lovely drinks + friendly people behind the bar and out n about in the restaurant/beer garden. This is probably one of the best beer gardens in the Pudsey area - the sounds of birds are so enjoyable as you look out onto the valley. For a non alcoholic summer drink I recommend the blackberry spritz - very sweet and refreshing without being too tangy. The club sandwich was DIVINE and the chefs hadn't scrimped on fillings. The meat was trusting and the salad leaves, cucumber and peppers were fresh and crunchy. The chips were the same vibe too! The portion size was nice and filling after a walk. It has always been a perfect location for a post stroll bite to eat but very enjoyable. You can expect to pay around £12.95 for dishes like sandwiches but the other pub classics are a bit more, you're looking at around 17/18 quid :)”

“It was Friday teatime and the pub was packed. The customers were really nice and healpful to us, being strangers. They had two real ales on, both of which were spot on. We could happily stayed for a session but had a booking elsewhere.”

Great staff, great atmosphere and fab drinks menu...you'll have to go in about 2 and fall weeks due to refurbishment and from what's been said, the pub will be totally upgraded and made even better! “The Jug is an excellent pub with friendly staff and friendly customers :). There's always entertainment going on weather it be live bands/singers or sports on the tvs. I would highly recommend the Jug and barrel to all types of people and family's x”

On the night Lydia was working the bar and couldn’t do enough for us. Thank you for letting us hold our party there. In my daughters words, she had ‘the best night EVER’”

“Just had the chicken kebab on naan, and the calzone with chips the share with the girlfriend. Food was really excellent quality ...... I collected so not sure about the delivery service but they had it ready in 15 mins as promised, also chip spice on the chips which I personally love!! Would recommend”

“Absolutely lovely dinner. Huge portions and very well cooked. My only complaint is the lack of pickle on the pickle tray. What we got was abundant but the lime preserve is my favourite part and we had none. Delivery was right on time, friendly staff and food was hot. Perfect.”

“The best cheese burger I've ever had - ordered a cheese burger for collection after it was recommended by a friend - was made fresh and ready for when I arrived! They cook their cheese burgers using a flame grill giving it that unique taste! Will not be going anywhere else! All the guys working there are really sound too! Definitely recommend!”
