“Shopped around and got quotes from a dozen or so carpet places for the same carpet and measurements. Quotes had upto £800-900 difference. Best price was given by Aslams (Thornton rd) Once carpet arrived they also held onto it for us,almost 2 weeks,as our painting was not yet complete. Fitters came and did their bit. Again could not fault them. Really pleased with Aslams all round service. Returned again week later to get our kitchen vinyl sorted. Once again best priced and managed to fit the same day. Competitors were not happy and one even went as far as calling Aslams mugs for having offered the best quote. Sour grapes in all walks of life i guess. Would highly recommend.”

“I came in to the shop on Tuesday was greeted by Mohammed who welcomed me and the Mrs and told us us to take a seat in his office and asked how he can help. I explained what we needed and he provided us with his expertise knowledge and spoke about the different products and measurements. He gave us a quote there and then and also gave a delivery date. He sent me a message the next day with details off the full order and the delivery date and time. He went above and beyond. True to his word. Delivered everything and assembled it. The team who came along were excellent, very attentive and professional. The beds we ordered were so comfortable and the price was definitely affordable. Highly recommend. “Little gem in Calverley. The Little Coffee House has a cosy atmosphere with friendly and kind hosts. I had scrambled eggs with smoked salmon on toast. The scrambled eggs were perfect - fluffy and delicious. They were melting in my mouth. Smoked salmon excellent complimented eggs with light saltiness and smokiness. My latte was creamy and smooth. It's definitely a place to return and try other items from the menu. Thank you!”

“Just returned from an excellent weekend at Hewenden Mill Cottages. The owners, Mr and Mrs Emmanuel, have thought of everything to make their cottages real homes from home. Good welcome breakfast with milk, cereal, toast, butter, jams, juice, tea and coffee (instant but a plunger is there if you prefer ground coffee). Very well equipped kitchen so lovely for cooking. Oil, salt and pepper there. We were in number 9 which was very comfortable, good linen, comfy sofas, downstairs loo, warm and cosy retreat from storm Deirdre's the freezing rain. Lots of space for hanging coats, a torch, umbrellas, smart TV. Really couldn't fault it and we will definitely return when visiting nearby family - and hopefully for more than a weekend. So much to explore still...”

“Decided to book a table for a family celebration for 6 and it didn’t disappoint! We opted for the tapas and choose several dishes, nearly everything on the menu, with our faves being the Gambas with garlic, the Heuvos Rotos, Grilled rump steak and the Rose Harissa & lemon chicken thighs. We finished off with churros, the Basque cheesecake, Tarte de Santiago and coffees. Every dish that came out looked vibrant and was as good to eat as it looked. The dishes were brought out staggered so you weren’t overfaced with everything at once and gave us chance to try the plates before another dish was brought. A fabulous little place with great food and a great atmosphere. Will definitely visit again.”

He is really passionate about excellence in customer service. Really enjoyed here. Staff all lovely. Very clean. They have Grunwerg cutlery, so that says no expense spared for a cafe restaurant. Highly recommended and plan to dine here again.”

“A massive choice of amazing sandwich of all sorts, wrap, panini's, bread sandwiches rolls. Today I had Jamaican Jerk chicken toasted wrap and it was amazing. It was a shame I don't live local otherwise I would be there everyday. Can't recommend enough and will be visiting next time im in Halifax which may end up being sooner rather than later to have a good lunch :) super friendly lady that works there too. It did only seem to be a takeaway sandwich shop rather than somewhere you eat in.”
