“What a little belter of a cafe! Proper hidden gem. Fresh quality ingredients with a massive tea cake. Quality sausages. Clean outside table and chairs. She cant do enough for you. Dog water provided. Just a cracking cafe so definitely our go to place for lemon Fanta with ice and blue and red straws in Brighouse . Good value to at under a tenner for 2 meals and 2 drinks!”

“First visit for Sunday lunch. Had roast beef and chicken Sunday lunch platter for 2. Plenty food, jug of tasty gravy each. Absolutely so tasty traditional Sunday lunch, great presentation,great value for money, lovely friendly staff Nice size bistro with lovely decor, We enjoyed so much we have rebooked for next Sunday !”

“Really friendly and helpful staff!! Can’t have breakfast menu after 12 I think but lunch menu has breakfast items and extras so we just created our own breakfast. Really good value, local cafe. Coffee was great. Loved it here. £10 minimum on card, however I paid cash”

“Lovely little place, loved the traditional toys in the bigger room my eldest grandson 20months loved it. We had 2 babies with us 6 & 8 weeks although still a little 2 young to enjoy the baby room as both slept most of the time we will be back when a little older.”

“I stumbled across this delightful, well stocked and different from other Health food shops this week whilst having some time to kill! The owner Natalie was so helpful and friendly it was hard not to leave. I had an excellent latte and enjoyed browsing round the shop for gift ideas. Loved the idea of plastic free products and organic fruit and veg. Bought some of their homemade peanut butter which was delicious. I will certainly be visiting again and trying the organic veg box. Well Done Natalie and family for bringing something different to Halifax.”

“Good atmosphere. Tables are bit higher than the chair so not so comfortable sitting to eat the meal. Food presentation and I taste was good. Something different to try in bradford.”

“Came in today for the first time for some brunch, received a lovely warm welcome from friendly staff. This place exceeded our expectations as we regularly look for somewhere nice to brunch and struggle to find anything local. The food was impeccable and so fresh and delicious and the coffee was on point. Highly recommend this cosy cafe to anybody wanting a great dining experience with great staff and great food. “This place is just perfect. We went for a lovely but chilly walk and finished up here after wanting to visit for ages and we weren't disappointed. Even from the outside it's special, and when you walk in its just a lovely fuzzy welcoming feeling of awesomeness. No.54 has so much quirky character, but natural, not forced. We sat at a beautiful, old arty table by the window and ordered full breakfasts. Everything on the plate was cooked perfectly and using great quality produce. I want to go back already, and can Imagine it being the perfect venue for a little celebration. Service was warm and friendly, and there's plenty of food choices to suit everyone. Resisted the cakes this time but I don't think that would happen next time!!!”

“Writing this on behalf of my mum who isn’t very good with technology- my mum visited today for the first time, as she has recently had surgery and wanted to get out. The young girl working was very helpful and made time to talk to my mum and ask about her day despite being busy, as the other lady was working the gift shop. The youngster chatting to my mum made her day as she can often feel lonely, she also made a beautiful latte . My mum wishes for this young lady to get the credit she deserves, although she didn’t catch her name but says she was tall with brunette hair. My mum says she will definitely be back, next time with all her friends.”

“Ordered a sandwich and drink to be delivered asked for it all well done and it actually was! Also not often you find places using proper square spam which was really nice too! Cooked as per requested and delivered fast! Defo be back!”

“2nd time I've ordered from here and both time the food has been spot on best butty had in a long time from a shop. Normally you can tell the bacon from other shops is cheap but here you can taste the quality, egg was cooked to perfection and just right size. Delivered to our door by by a polite a friendly bloke. We also got a brownie each me and my partner had salted caramel brownie which were soft and delicious tasted fresh and homemade, my daughter had the oreo brownie and she loved it. Spot on this place dont normally leave reviews but felt the need to share how good it is. Keep up the good work”

“Had a meeting with some colleagues and we were reserved a table. Coffees and lunches were appreciated by everyone. They had run out of paninis by the time we ordered, but were happy to oblige with a tuna toastie. Delicious cakes. Service with a smile and good wifi if you need a spot to work”

“In my opinion, this is the best coffee shop in Saltaire by far. The staff are always really friendly and welcoming, the coffee is delicious, and the toast and cinnamon buns are always delicious! I’m quite perplexed at some of the other poor reviews, especially concerning the staff not being friendly; in my experience these are the most friendly staff in any coffee shop in Saltaire by far, in other coffee shops, they can barely crack a smile, the coffee is cold, overpriced, and the environment is not comfortable at all. I’m also confused as to complaints about space to accommodate prams as anyone can see if a pram was brought to a table, there would be no room for people to safely walk around so clearly a health and safety issue. Keep doing what you’re doing Quaffery, you’re awesome!”

“I have been here several times, but I am not a frequent visitor. Always had friendly service, good food, and really excellent coffee. Actually the coffee is really worth a mention as they use high quality beans. It is one of the few places in this area that make a really good espresso. The staff are very friendly and it is a spacious place with easy access, so quite a handy place to take elderly relatives. It is part of a church, so there is a religious bookshop next door and so on. Personally I am not religious at all, but this aspect doesn’t affect how nice the cafe is in any way.”

“Great food at a reasonable price. The location is convenient as it's on the main road. Busy street but you can usually find a spot to slot into without too much trouble. Always nice and clean with a few tables and chairs inside. Friendly staff and a very good variety of food. The egg mayo with crispy bacon and salad sandwich is particularly good. Highly recommend this excellent little sandwich shop.”

“Burgers ready within 10 minutes. Crispy fries where you can actually taste the truffle. Loved the complexity of the burger fillings- this is a burger with all the works. Almost Famous used to be my favourite burger place, but Digin's Hut beats it. Benches outside while you wait for your takeaway. £12 for the 'Rate my Takeaway beef and £10 for the pulled pork burger (which is probably my favourite), Doughnut was thick and heavy.”

“Just had breakfast at this gem of a place. We had a lovely welcome on arrival. I don't eat beans and asked for mine without, they gave me fresh tomato as a substitute which was lovely. You can have a free hot drink top up if you want. Breakfast was super tasty and just what we wanted. I mentioned when we were leaving that I'd saved half a sausage for the dog. The owner called me and gave me 2 sausages to take home. How kind! Definitely worth a visit. Thanks so much, we will be back!”
